I saw "The Passion of the Christ", which I have to say it is one of the best movies ever, and after Jesus was arrested, he was beaten and thrown off a cliff but did not hit the ground thanks to rope swung around his neck, hands and feet with shackles. :sniffle: I cried through the whole movie, it was brilliant.

Worst way to die? The way Jesus died, of course.

But think about if you were put on one of those medieval stretchy machines that stretched your body out and ripped you apart...or being suffocated. Sheesh, this thread is morbid.

Being eaten by birds of prey would kinda stink... my seven year old brother came up with that in the car earlier... amazing what 10 plus hours in the car will make you think about...

Well for us the Christians there is no worst way to die because what Paul says to be absent from the body is to be with the Lord. But as for the non Christians anyway you dies is the worst way to die because it mean you are forever separated from the Lord and forever in Hell.

PS. In order for not to misunderstanding I believe that it is our duty to preaches the good news to them and have them understand the love of Christ for them. And I understand Hell is a too strong of the word but that is how it is. And I am not condemn anyone.

No you are right Yahshua, what you said is strong and straight to the point, I understand what you are saying. It is okay to say "Hell" in relation from the Bible. I totally agree with you. :thumb:

because the "worst" implies in this case the absolute worst not just the worst physically, because there are other "deaths."

you have to remember that Christ was left alone and abandoned even by God. so that alone makes it the worst death anyone could imagine. i mean i know i will never be alone, and alot of times i been very grateful that i had Jesus to turn to he had no one.
I used to "Follow" Him because i had to....now i would give everything to follow Him.

Me check it out!

Um m . . . whoa, maybe I should shut up since you believe something vastly different from me. . .
Last comment I will make because otherwise this will turn into an argument.

Christ was not abandoned by God. He was Both God and man, completely and entirely. The line "And about 3 o'clock Jesus cried out in a loud voice "Eli, Eli lema sabachthani?" which means "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me"(Matt 27:46) refers back to psalm 22. Psalm 22 refers to reliance and hope in the lord, not on despair. Thus Jesus's human side, which is finite and limited, was expressing hope and reliance in the God he would soon be with.

That is the simple argument, anyway. . . .

Any other comments please pm me about.

Crusifiction, except your also getting burned alive, and your suffocating (in salt water)
and your forced to keep your eyes open, only it's pitch black, only it's blindingly light, and all your limbs are cut off. And you not a christian. And plus before this you have been peralyzed for hundreds of years. An dyou have been forced to eat fatening foods constantly. But for the last year you have been giving nothing. And what they did give you tastes so horrible you can't stomach it. O and the salt water you are being drownd/burned/crucified in (don't ask me how) is 33 degrees. O ya and your falling 100 stories. lol. So impossible.

I used to think drowning, but I've heard that's actually kind of peaceful. I'd go with buried alive, or wedged in a cave slowly starving to death or something.

Being that I have served on the fire dept and rode ambulance I have seen many deaths I have responded on and have heard of some through talks and classroom discussions. I have heard of people falling into things like wood chippers and machinery, vats of acid or molten steel. Burning alive, you may not feel it because the carbon monoxide could make a person go unconscious or died before flames get to them.
I have heard and been on calls where people were torn apart or crushed in vehicle accidents. Sometimes they could die instantly or lay there and suffer before help comes or die afterwards.

A) lame pun
B) whil on this morbid subject of death i have a riddle. here goes...
an explorer is in the jungle when captured by a bunch of pigmeys. for trespassing the chief decides to put him to death, but the explorer gets to choose how to die by telling a lie or the truth. if he tells the truth he will be stabbed to death. if he tells a lie then he will be fed to various wild, rabid, flesh-eating woodland creatures. how does he survive? click and drag below the line to find out
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
he says he will be fed to various wild, rabid, flesh-eating woodland creatures. if they feed him to the creatures then it will be the truth. but if its the truth then they have to stab him to death. in the confusion the explorer escapes

If pain was really bad you would probably pass out anyways. I think anyways. Of course that pain right before the threshold of passing out would be really bad. But only for a second.

I think dying alone with no-one there to comfort you would definitely be the worse way to go.
