What does your User name mean to you?

Talk about anything in here.

Postby K. Ayato » Wed Jul 27, 2005 5:23 pm

My current user name is a shortened form of "mobilesuitpilot", which was my original user name. I just got tired of the length, plus one of the members calls me that in response to my private messages.
K. Ayato: What happens if you press the small red button?

*Explosion goes off in the movie*

mechana2015: Does that answer your question?

K. Ayato: Perfectly.

I see I'm not the only Banner of the Stars fan here! Love the avatar! Anyhoo, I named myself after the B-52s' first hit, "Rock Lobster". The B-52s are my favorite rock band because so far, no one has ever been able to copy their style or even tried.

Actually I'm a huge fan myself of Crest of Stars and the Banner of stars series. Plus Lafiel voice is neat I think. So yeah, Blue elf fits nicely wit your avatar choice :P

*snaps fingers* darn, I was hoping I could find out what yours meant. I dunno why, I was just curious. When I first saw it, I thought it was someone who just typed in random letters, cause you know, like when you "fake type" or whatever, then its usually a combination of the same seven letters. *keeps guessing*

Anyhow, my name is from a character in a manga that I'm doing.

Check out Anime News Network. In Japan they already have Banner of
the Stars III out or coming out. :thumb:
Banner I is my fifth favorite all time anime following Crest of the Stars,
Dual! , Inuyasha and Silent Mobius.
I love Lafiel! :)

I can't remember if I did this before or not but I choose mitsuki lover
because Mituski Sanada is my third all time favorite anime gal following
Kagome(Inuyasha)and Yuki(Silent Mobius). :thumb:

btw:I found a Which Dual!Girl Is Best For You quiz yesterday and came
out with Mituski! :)
However NOT Mituski Sanada, the OTHER Mituski,Mituski Rara!
Still Mitsuki is Mitsuki rather Sanada or Rara, after all they are the same
person even though they're from different universes! :jump:
(actually I thought I'd end up with D when I took the quiz)

My name came from a MGS3 demo, I tranquilized a frog and a guard at the same time, and while I was looking at the frog the guard began to snore. It sounded like it was coming from the frog though, it might have been, actually, I don't know.

Lorentz is my actual real name.

Force is added in because it makes my name even cooler, as well as increase that chance that no one else has taken it online. 'Lorentz Force' itself is a scientific term, which I assume Google can explain so much better than I can.

I picked Icarus because it was a name from Greek myth. I don't recall where, but I once read that comic books are the new mythology, and as I'm more into Manga than Anime, I picked something based on comics. It was rather random, but after almost two years, I've grown attached to it.

My name, Petite Soeur, means "little sister" in French. This name is endearing to me for two reasons: 1) I am nearly fluent in French, and I have a little thing for this language, and 2) with the exception of my boyfriend who is three months younger than me and a few others, most of my friends are older than me, therefore I serve as a "little sister" to them.

Add a -GEL to the end of my user name and it'll be more then obvious.

Why that name? Its the name of a character I developed for a manga titled "Angeles" About angels dwelling in Los Angeles "City of Angels", but they're not really angels. And no, they're not demons either, but look at me, pitching a manga story of all things, bad Archan

mastersquirrel...

This just so happens to be my username because my bretheren and I are in the midst of conquering the world and I happen to be the head honcho.

It came from a lunch period in highschool where me and a friend of mine started goofing around and started talking about how squirrels were taking over the world. Another friend cried that he was fighting the squirrel menace and that he was searching for Master Squirrel. I just so happened to end up being that person. Whether that is truly my identity may remain a mystery to you all. HAHAHAAAA!

Postby TurkishMonky » Mon Aug 01, 2005 12:29 pm

wow... that's a deep question. i have had my pseudonym for years, and has slowly evolved to meet my personality.

Want the whole history?
From a young age i have always loved climbing trees. i still do, even now that i'm an adult. There are trees that i find to be more comfortable then most chairs, not to mention the view from 12 ft up. i love to hang by my ankles on a branch upside down, run around from branch to branch, drop to the ground behind people, etc.
i am a "Monkey".

However, i am also a fan of history, espesially the medieval period (and the mongolian army but that's not relevant) anyway, one time a group of home schoolers decided to go to this Medieval times restaurant, and we all dressed the part. My costume was of a Monk.

and then i played an old SNES RPG (yopu know the ones with names of 5 letters or less only) and i was forced to make a trade. Monkey became Monky.

Ok, the Turkish part is a bit more random. I am not turkish, don't play as the turks on Age Of Kings, and have never been to turkey. However, i've always had a strange fascination for the country.

When i was 14, our homeschool coop had to write a report on some historical structure. instead of doing somthing widely known such as the coloseum or a greek temple, i choose an obscure stadium in Priene, Turkey, from a picture i saw in a book. It took me days to find even the slightest fact about the city online, but i eventually wrote the report. i still love the city, although it is currently in ruin in the middle of the desert. It's hard to explain... i just love that city, and so like the country in which it resides. In fact, it is one of my top destinations i want to go to in the world.

thus Turkish Monky.

The Big Sleep is a book by Raymond Chandler and a 1946 movie by Howard Hawks starring Humphrey Bogart & Lauren Bacall. I'm a fan of both Chandler and Bogart, but I was thinking of the movie when I chose the name Bigsleep. The "J" at the end is my first name's first letter. I've been going with it ever since. :)

Yea! I noticed this about you at first, but have yet to comment on it! You ROCK for even knowing Bogart and Becall, much less making a user name out of it!!! *Big Sleep J earns major brownie points* You must have seen Casablanca then, right? I mean it's a clasic.

My name is french, and it means hope. It is something I severly lack at times, and this is a way to be reminded. Plus it is pretty and mysterious. lol.
