I have one friend...and that's my wife.

Actually, a lot of my married friends have said that their circle of friends tends to diminish after their marriage. As sad as it reads on paper, it's logical sense. After all, you now have a friend (and more) by your side for the rest of your life and you're necessarily going to concentrate more on them.
Plus, as a single guy, it can be hard to relate to friends who have recently become married because of that. You have to learn to deal with them as a unit instead of individually, and personality conflicts with the new partner aside (which, mercifully, has not happened with me in a big way), there will be scheduling conflicts, new dynamics, and the fact the new partner won't want to do the same kinds of social things. The now-new-third wheel has to learn to make the jump, and some people can't do it.
Most of my friends are married off now, and that does diminish how much I see them. Dropping like flies, as it were, but that's life.

i never made a real effort to keep in touch with them. besides, they weren't Christians and it made a real big gap between me and them as there were things i didn't feel confortable talking to them with.
all i can say is that it is important to learn how to enjoy people while they are in our lives- after all, we cannot keep them from passing on one way or another...
