Prayer request for my friend

Well... She's actually a pretty strong christian, and is going to bible college. But last night I was really depressed... and apparently she could tell, though I was trying to hide it... But anyways, after talking to me she got really depressed. Now last night she actually started cutting. She made a prayer request thread on my site (with a different screen name), but I knew it was her. And I gave her advice... One was to write down in your LJ how you're feeling and stuff... And she said something about cutting in there. Then I knew it was her for sure... I never thought she'd get this way, but she did... And in a way I feel like it's my fault... And I feel like I can't help her because half the time I'm just as bad. Though, aside from last night, I've been doing lots better.... But, anyways, she really needs prayer.

Father, I pray for Your peace in these present circumstances. I pray that my sister and her friend would be touched by Your love and that You would cast out their fear and doubt. I pray that they would be able to let go and rest in Your presence. Please send Your Holy Spirit to comfort them in their time of need. I pray this in Jesus' name.

Nah, it's not your fault. I would do exactly what she did for you; be there for her and give her a shoulder to lean on. Listen and try to help however you can. But you can't blame yourself because you didn't do anything. She asked you what was wrong and you told her. THat's what friends are there for- for support. I would have done the same.

Try not to hold yourself accountable for others actions, because at the end of the day, it was their decison to make alone, not yours. Perhaps she brought up that you were depressed to also get help herself... Maybe indirectly saying so.

Okay, well... I have an update. Me and my friend talked earlier today, and it seems she's not as depressed anymore. Things are getting better for her. And she's promised never to cut again, and she's given her brother her knife. And, that's kind of made me less depressed! But there are still some other things going on in my life... that I'm getting depressed about... or I'll just get depressed for what seems like no reason.... But! Things are getting better. Thanks for all your prayers, guys! ^_^

It's the Devil, tell her that that depressive state's from hell, and that she's got authority over everything of this world (besides humans). EVERYTHING! Demons, animals, plants, weather, etc..
God gave this world to us to take care of, that's why we've got that power as followers of Y'shuah the Christ.

When she prays, all she has to do is take authority of the devil, and he can't do anything about it.

I'll pray. That's a spirit plaguing her you know, just rebuke that thing!!!! *said that about a million times*

So awesome to hear that things are going better for your friend! It's a relief to hear that she promised never to cut again. It's also good to hear that it's helped you to cheer up a bit. I'll pray that depression would be conquered in your life by the power of the Spirit.
