Good morrow, all! Yes, I actually speak like that in the dark recesses of my mind.

Anyway, you're probably reading this due to a slight interest in finding out who I am, so here goes.

The rot on my drivers license I'm willing to divulge is limited to my age, 19<edit> this was two years ago</edit>. Oh, yes, I'm male. Thank you very much.

Moving along to nicknames. My name is <removed>. You don't have to think to hard to come up with several nicknames, but here are some of the less obvious things I term myself: Tony Michaelson, sort of my name; Jordan, my boss called me that for a while when I started working; and, finally, the Bugler. I'll explain the first two in a moment, but I'll comment on the last first.

I don't play any instrument, but the one I would most like to play is the trumpet. I'd envision an adult playing jazz into the night from his apartment. Occaisionally, I'd e-mail a friend in the persona of this pseudo-super hero named "The Bugler."

Back to the Cliff's Notes of my life story.

Born in Abilene, Tx. in 1984. It's a fun town with a big library. Read "big" as "half a city block, 2 stories, plus basement." I couldn't wait til I was 5 so I could get a library card. All the books you want for three weeks. Heaven!!

Along about that time, I started school, (homeschooled until college) and was introduced to my current major field of study: MATH. No, that is not a misprint. I. Like. Math. Always have. That's not to say I'm terribly good at it. Mostly, I get B's with a few A's and C's thrown in for good measure. Variety, you understand. Anyway, it is not my best subject as far as scores go; but there lies the fun. "Can I do this?" has always interested me more than "I can do this with my eyes closed."

As I was saying (eventually), in 1995, we (my parents, 5 siblings, and I) moved north to follow my dad's job, in the most average city in the nation.Seriously, the 2000 census confirmed it. Up here, I spend my time in school, work, reading and playing video games. Library rots, though.

A few interesting asides:
1) my youngest siblings have never lived more than 5 blocks from a church;

2) We were Babtists (my dad had graduated from seminary), moved up here and became Methodists, and then followed the Methodist pastor when he bacame Orthodox (my father is now a sub-deacon).

3)to explain the nicknames:
I dabble, in the lightest sense of the word, in poetry and art. I stress, DO NOT expect to see an example of my art any time soon, say the next year or five. If you do hap to see one of my creations, 'twill most like be a poem with Tony Michaelson as the author. 'Tis my nom de plume.

And Jordan... that will take a while, so you may want to just skip this as it is unimportant, an it please you. Anyway, I go to a Greek church, and I heard from my Mother that one of the ladies there, Stella Panagiotorakos (that looks right), needed help at her restaurant. Her husband, Stavros (meaning cross), wasn't quite sure of my name at first and called me Jordan. As he speaks "Greenglish," it came out a bit fast and slurred. It sounded close enough, and I knew who he was talking to. Being the fifth employee where noone else name starts with "J" helps.

4)Nowhere did I mention my acerbic and self-depreceating wit. How thoughtless of me :forehead: . That's about all I want to say and probably more than you wanted said. Thanks for sticking it out. :thumb:

Hello and welcome. :jump: I enjoyed reading your short life story. :)

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Unfortunately, no. I have neither the time nor the temperment to write any thing of great length, say five handwritten pages. Thanks for checking out my thread, though.
