Need a salvation info site...

I'm looking for a website that explains salvation and would be geared toward teens and college-age kids. I'd like to be able to recommend a website to someone who wants to learn more on their own, but isn't interested yet in talking about it. Of course, reading the Bible is always the best way I know, but sadly so many are turned off by that. Perhaps there is a good website somewhere that introduces teens to God and the Bible and encourages them to pray and learn more? Thanks!

I don't really have a suggestion myself, but to those who do, please keep them to core Christian beliefs and avoid serious interdenominational issues.

actually, the best solution is to talk to them, not refer them to any site. Unbelievers come up with the most wild, unrelated reasons not to believe the Bible that I sometimes laugh. Yet it breaks my heart when they have such vast misunderstandings.

Yes, you need to be the source for your friends when spreading the gospel. Not only should this spur us to read and know our Bibles more (which is a good thing), but it's a commandment. We are to be "ready always to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope in [us]" (1 Pet. 3:15).

Such sites may be good for us to read and learn from, but they really are hardly good tools to simply give to unbelievers in expectation that they might be saved.

I agree, talking is usually the best and most effective way. But from experience some people in the beginning may be uncomfortable in talking about their belief when they aren't 100% sure or very strong in it. If you can use a site to help them build a bit of faith, then I think it's okay.

I think it's okay to use many sources to help build ones faith. Everyone is learns in their own way and many take different approaches to do so.

Personally I've used many different ways to grow in my faith: online, conversations and reading the word. They are all helpful tools. So I have no problems with it.

But similar to what Frwl said, once someone has a decent understanding and foundation about salvation, it's probably more beneficial to have someone to talk to about their struggles, faith, questions and beliefs. Whether it's online or in person.

Oops! I guess I should have mentioned myself that I am looking for something non-denominational! Thanks for adding that Shooraijin (I hope I spelled that right!)

I wish I could talk more openly with certain people in my life about Jesus, but I'm just an old fuddy-duddy aunt to them. We did discover that we share a love of anime and I'm hoping to get more chances to introduce God to them, but they are in another state. That's why I'd like to have a website in mind to refer them to also should I get the chance.

I didn't come to Jesus until I was a mother and I spent alot of time at first reading about Christianity and God on Christian family websites before I got serious and decided to try going to church. (Those websites won't really appeal to who I'm hoping to help, hence I need something teen oriented!) So I know a website can help some people and bring them to a place where they are ready to talk about it for real. I also see that it's not always the best way, but I hope to plant a seed at least.
