Ripping Softwares

Postby Steeltemplar » Tue Jul 19, 2005 8:17 pm

Anyone know a good (and hopefully free) MP3 ripping software that rips in Variable Bit Rate?

I have been using Exact Audio Copy but it is so freakin' SLOW.

I'd point you to ripperx, but that's for Linux, so I'm afraid I can't help you much.

May I suggest doing the hard-way of ripping it to .wav then re-encoding it with lame encoder?

change your command line in the external compresison options, this is what i use:
--alt-preset fast standard %s %d
before i was getting maybe 4x extraction but it's up to 20-28x with the 'fast' switch added in.

Correction: Apparently ripperx is available for Windows as well. Google up for more detail.

Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls
once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning
bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love
without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's
my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.

His face is writhing with the pain yet it's comforting to me
