Grrrr... Final Fantasy 4 trouble

Okay, here's my problem. I recently bought Final fantasy chronicles for my playstation. It contains final fantasy 4 and chrono trigger. i am sooooo stuck on final fantasy 4 and none of the faqs I have come across offered any help. well, here goes. I have just defeated the crystal fiend at Baron Castle. Cecil must get the earth crystal for golbez if he wishes to see rosa ever again. So my party hops into their airship, I head to troia castle, where the earth crystal is supposed to be. They say an elf stole the crystal and you must go to his cave on a northeast island. So, I flew the airship to a northeast little island with a cave on it. Here's the catch, the island has so little land that the airship cannot land on it. I read an faq that said to fly a black chocobo to the island, but that doesn't work either. Black chocobo's can only land on forests and ther is no forest on the island is there a different island or is there a different way to get to this island. Any help is appreciated. Agh...I vaugely remember this part of the game...I think I just took a regular chocobo if I remember correctly...Or maybe it was a black one..hmmm...

Are you sure you're on the right island? Because I remember there being a big forest when I played...Maybe you have the wrong island...? Just look around, I'm sure you'll find it! ^_^

If I remember correctly, there is a very small patch of land that you can land the airship on, but you have to very carefully fine-tune the position with the controller because it's very sensitive.

I appluad you sir, for going through this game, this was the FIRST RPG i ever played, and it sefi on my top 10 list

anyway, this image is from a ROM (alas! do not worry! i own the actual ff2[ff4]cart for my snes! in working condition too!

1. Land in that little patch of land
2. People shall go "help us"
3. Go to that small forest
4. Get black chobo
5. Fly to that island
6. REMOVE ALL METAL THINGS FROM CECIL OR HE WILL BE PARALYZED
7. Beat dark imp elf dude guy thing
8. Go back out, dont worry because the black chocobo will not leave once you land it

Oh, yes, I remember this part, too...hmm..I have Chronicles, but I'm playing FFX right now...along with Harvest Moon...along with Arc The Lad...along with KOTOR II...so I'm all booked. Excellent help, MSP. way to waste your time on a n00b. : P

I'm stuck too!! I'm a lot furthur then that. I got Kain back after getting kicked by Golbez. I went to Baron where the ghost of the dead king siad go to the summoner villiage. I went and I have absolutely no idea what I'm supossed to do or go to furthur the story. Please help me.

ever been underground? I believe you have to go there (you need the airship with the drill) that you get from Cid and there is a little village of summoned creatures underground

ahh, yes cid needs to make you an airship thatll drill a hole to where that "mini-people" village island is (the mountain next to the village)

This isn`t really off topic, but as far as Final Fantasy Chronicles, did you play Chrono Trigger. IMO, it is much better and Square needs to make another sequel for it.

I`m stuck on the part where Cecil first meets Rydia.....yeah, I concentrated on Chrono trigger ALOT more.

You`re right, Billy, that is such a great point you bring up. Chrono Trigger and FF4 are fantastic games and I`m glad you took your time to help Heero Yuy out as he seeks wisdom on FF4.

Have you defeated Vavalis? Of so, then head to agarth with an airship (agarth is a town on a small island right next to a small mountain)

AHHH! Gomen! I was wrong! You don't get the drill airship untill when you are already IN the underworld (sorry sorry!)

Once you are in agart, you find a key, and drop it in the well (i believe the key is on some sort of pond or fountain). Once you drop the key the mountain will open and you should go in with your airship, and head for the dwarfs castle

Yeah FFIV has a very deep complex storyline. Plus some funny moments. The dancing girls for example. it's intresting to see how Cecil starts out as a bad guy. THe opening scene he did just attack and kill innocent villigers even if he is questioning what he's done. My friend John says he considers it to be one of the best Final Fantasy games. I can't wait to see how it ends. =)
