Prayer for two on-line friends.

Postby bigsleepj » Wed Jul 13, 2005 11:09 am

I would like to ask for prayers for two of my on-line friends.

One (his name is Robert) is going through a very bad time spiritually being tempted with a very hard problem. I would be very happy if you can give a prayer for him that God may guide him to the right decision.

The other one's name is Margret and her husband has filed for divorce. She's already a grandmother and this was her second marriage. Please pray for her that she gets through this. Her life hasn't been too wonderful of late. So please pray for her as well.

I'll pray for both of them. Do you know if either of the two saved?

Robert I know has a deep faith and he's no idiot either - he recently got a degree in philosophy and hopes to teach it sooner or later. In any case its going better with him and his problem.

Margret I'm not sure about her beliefs. I know she comes from a Christian family and everything but I don't know her beliefs. She and I have been on very bad terms lately (my fault - curse me) before her problem rose and I'm too afraid to ask. She's very bitter in any case. I'd ask later.

I too will be praying for them two. I hope the Lord gives Robert the strength and that the couple will somehow make an amend to their marriage.

Father,
Please guide Robert. Help him to rely on You and Your wisdom as he makes his decisions. I also ask that you be with Margret. No matter what happens, help her to trust in You. And finally, God, please be with Johnnie. Give him wisdom and strength as he interacts with his friends. Thank You for being here for us.
Amen.

look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€

Lord, I pray that you would give Robert the grace to deal with this temptation that he is facing. I pray that he would trust in You and put on Your whole armor to stand in the midst of the fiery darts of the wicked one.

Lord, I pray first and foremost that if Margaret has not come to You to trust You for her salvation, that you would draw her to Yourself and use any believer around her to testify to her about the death and resurrection of Your Son that is accomplished for our justification. In any case, Father, I pray that You would be with her in this situation and let it cause her to draw near to You.

I pray for Johnnie, Lord, that You would empower him to be an encouragement to these two people and that you would fill him and let him come alongside these two, just as Your Spirit comes alongside us to guide us to guide us to Yourself. I pray in Jesus' name.

Thanks for the prayers, everyone.

Robert seems to be doing okay but he's pretty much still shaken by the problems and seems unable to focus on some things. He is really hurting inside and this problem is not just going to go away overnight. He still needs our prayers. I've been trying my best to help him but I feel most of my "advice" had been froth and bubble.

As for Margret, I haven't heard from her in a while. I hope she's okay.
