Have a video game or or VG review? This is the place to to discuss it! We also accept discussions of board games and the like, but SHHH! Don't tell anyone, OK?

Speaking of Monolith (a few pages back) and importing, I hope they will localize "Namco x Capcom". Hey, stranger things have happen with Namco.... Katamari, anyone?

While it is an actual stand alone game, unlike Colosseum, it's not quite a full Pokemon RPG like the Game Boy ones. It uses the "snag" system that Colosseum had, meaning that there will probably be no random battles and the Shadow Pokemon thing will be back.

Kind of a shame, but I'll still buy it.

I figure something like that'd happen. No matter how unlikely, I really wish they would make a Pokemon game on the console with most (if not all) of the Pokemon and all three worlds (I think there was three).

YES.

I want that game SO bad.

Three as far as the Game Boy Advance. Kanto for the first ones, Johto for the second ones, Hoenn for the third ones. And there was Orre in Colosseum.

Ah, yes, those are the names.... it's slowly coming back to me. Well, Kanto and Johto. I stopped playing after Silver... the series is getting to repetitious, for me. Still a Uber-Ultima-Console Pokemon would have me sold.

My friend showed me Tales of Symphonia. I wasn't honestly that impressed with the beginning because of all the cliche's. Even the opening dialogue sounded ripped straight out of Seiken Densetsu 3. It's not that I didn't like it and won't eventually buy it, it just wasn't anything new from what I played.

See, here's the thing about Tales of Symphonia. The story isn't very original but it is VERY well executed. To the point where I consider it the best RPG on the GC...
Plus, story-aside, there is always the action-oriented battle system which is one of the big highlights of the series anyway.

At this point, I am rather doubtful that Namco X Capcom will be localized. If it was, it would likely have been announced at E3. And Namco probably doesn't believe that it would sell enough to justify bringing it over...I don't know.

I highly suggest importing/emulating Tales of Phantasia. It's fun (though random encounters are a bit annoying) and there's just something about hearing the characters vocally spouting out all these phrases in Japanese accent.

Agreed. I don't think some much of cliches as simply being able to do it correctly.

Whoa... this thread sure got popular...

I think I'll definitely look into Baten Kaitos and Paper Mario. Thanks for the pointers!

Someone mentioned the new Pokemon game (in reference of my avatar)... I personally only like the Gamboy games for Pokemon. Stadium was cool though. I was expecting Collisseum to be another Stadium, and was kind of disappointed. The repetitive battling and Snag system didn't do much for me either. My brother will no doubt buy the new game though, so I'll try it out. :)

Anyone remember Pac Man 2oth Aniiversary. I got that on my 10th anniversary of living otherwise known as my 10th birthday. Anyone know why Pacman`s friend was an enemy in DigDug?
