and just a random comment, it's not about how many days..it's about being willing to commit to a long-term choice. It's like you know...when people say, dont go on a diet..change your lifestyle. Same thing, from what i've found. Flee even the temptation of temptation, but if you fall and screw up just pick yourself up and ask forgiveness and try again. It's a mindset and not a date on the calendar.

well ryan...all i can say is...well...basically what everyone else said...i've started a new beginning in my life...and it feels great...after last night...i've had no desire...i mean the enemy has tried to put thoughts in my mind...but...i just think of that dream...that thing freaked me out sooo much...that i don't think i could ever go back to the way i was for anything...i'm praying for you man.

This is a really good verse to memorize. I pretty much lived on this verse when I was into porn. Hang in there, man. And take it from someone who knows. I used to really be into hentai and porn. And don't undermind the fact that you haven't seen it in 4-5 days. That's still a start! Here's my advice. Guard your heart, when you feel lust, look for something more constructive to do(of course watching the paint on a car rust is more constructive than porn lol), music helps, and nothing beats some good ol' prayer and Bible reading. And one last pointer, Don't underestimate its tempting power. If you haven't seen it in a week,thank God for it and prayer that you may continue to keep away from it. But don't just tell yourself, "wow that was easy, heh I'll never look at it again" and stop praying about it and stuff. You should be confident, but don't be overconfident. Well, what I'm saying is, don't let your guard down or you'll get sucked right back in. I made this mistake in the past too many times. But 4-5 days is still a start, Hang in there, you'll be in my prayers.

Oh yeah I've been through that. It doesn't seem to make a difference as to how long you stay away from it, it's just a continuous battle anyway. I've managed to get myself off of it and now it's been about 5 months since I last had my nose in it, it wasn't easy. I'll pray for you man.
