As many of you know, my computer at home is totally shot, and I'm forced to rely on the library for internet access now.

I can't use chat rooms and IM programs, so I'm completely and totally isolated. I have no friends in the area, so I'm alone now, and I hate it, I really friggin' hate it. I can't stand this feeling.

Combine that, with my continuing problem with...well, you know...and, well, it makes for one very hurting Nate. And I'm too screwed up right now to care that that was incorrect grammar.

This is an answer to a prayer I prayed a couple of weeks ago, the details of which I will not divulge. I am not upset that my prayer was answered, because it was all I want...but it is difficult to deal with this.

I do not want the hurting to stop, because that would be selfish, and it would not be what I prayed for. I merely need the strength to endure this, and nothing more.

Well, if you read this, thanks...

Well, I will continue to pray for you.

If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

Hebrews 12:11

I'll pray for the fruit buddy. I'm sorry to hear you're having a rough time, but it's good you've recognized the fact that it's something that you have to deal with. My prayer for you is for patience, longsuffering and perseverance.

You're always in my prayers Nate. Wanting the hurt to stop isn't selfish, though... God doesn't want us to constantly suffer, you know? I'll pray that you receive peace as well. Chin up, lovely.

Thanks guys, but it's only getting worse. I've gotten to the point where my body is rejecting any and all food. I'm starving, but unable to eat, and it's just...ugh...

I think this is probably the worst I've ever been.

Don't forget what it says in Acts 27:34. (Paul is talking to the people on the ship with him in a great storm.)

"Therefore I urge you to take nourishment, for this is for your survival, since not a hair will fall from the head of any of you."

It might not apply exactly to your situation, but you get the drift. Eat something.

If you can't keep down solid food, you could start with something like soup.

And maybe it won't work for you, but raisins always help me when I feel queasy. :)

Hey man, I can totally understand. I battle the feelings of loneliness all the time... Sometimes all we need to feel better is remembering or reassuring ourselves that there are people who really do care for us. Anytime you feel down try remembering all those who care for you: your friends (near or far), parents and the many members here at CAA etc... It may not seem like much, but we all care for you. It may sometimes seem so distant, but compasion is endless. I'll be praying for you. Remain strong buddy, I hope things work out.

I am praying for you. & Remember, "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him." (Romans 8:28) If you truly want to understand that last verse, then read the book of Job. There was a man who had everything taken from him, he had nothing, not his family, not his possessions, not his friends, not even his health! He had nothing. Job said, “But if I go to the east, he is not there; if I go to the west, I do not find him. When he is at work in the north, I do not see him; when he turns to the south, I catch no glimpse of him." (Job 23:8-9) God just wasn't there, when Job looked for him. All Job saw was his troubles, and no loving God. But God was working for good, and Job knew this. Even though he did not understand how, Job knew God was there, and the almighty was working for good, [I]"But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.â€

Life is painful, but life isn't the point is it? Sometimes it takes a good bout of pain to make us let go of earthly concerns and learn to cling to Jesus in a way we never thought possible. After you can do that, life doesn't hurt as much because you realize, as Solomon puts it, it's "vanity". When I'm hurting a lot, when I pray I visualize Jesus standing watching over me while I'm on my knees and hugging his legs, just trying to hold on. Visualizing that confession of helplessness and surrender helps me out. It might help you. Make any sense?
