Yes, That is real... it's been around for quite some time too...

Oh, that's quite real. I've seen the video of Mario bouncing the ball off of an NBA player's head then going up for a trick dunk.

It's hilarious to watch.

I love sports video games especially NBA Street Vol.2 and this.....XD Is Pathetic.

Can`t wait for Soul Calibur III. Mario is a playable character.

I`m over here picturing Mario with a full suit of Armour and a glimmering Blade icking the carkus out of every amazing warrior.

Ha! Now imagine if they had a Final fantasy X remake except the characters are switched around:

Tidus-Mario
Yuna-Peach
Kimahri- Donkey Kong (You can`t have a Mario game without Donkey Kong....0_o)
Rikku-Wario
Auron- (Uh, the evil Luigi-like dude, Waweji or somethin')
LuLu-Uh.......Daisy...
Wakka-Luigi

That would be perfect.

Honestly, IMO, with these pathetic ideas to keep him alive, Mario is tumbling downhil.

I don't like sports games much, but I agree with Azier on this. I might actual just rent the game to watch them in action.

Tom, I found that post to quite funny, save for this last apart I have quoted above. I don't have a problem with poking fun at Nintendo, but please don't start flaming it again.

That's why I said Soul Caliber style.

I find these gimmicks of putting Mario in ever single game imaginable quite funny. First this, and later this year we're getting DDR with Mario. I am a fan of Nintendo, I just kind of wish they would drop or at least slow down the Mario franchise.

My brain a splode.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Remember the 'Decline' flash movies? We could very well be playing "Mario does the weekly shopping" and "Mario sets the VCR" a decade from now.

I actually found that unlikely, as Metroid is taking the place of that in Nintendo.

Well, yeah, maybe, but the thing about Mario is that he (usually) is able to convert easily into many different genres and typically ends up doing so quite well and in a pretty original way.

I doubt it'd ever end up getting that far.

A Mario FPS sounds fun.

I could program a homemade one myself if Nintendo didn't crack down on Mario fan games like cops to a marijauna(sp?) bust.

Huh? But I've seen alot of fanmade ones.

Yoshi Safari doesn't count as a FPS, does it? Man, that game was cool, though.

Yoshi's Safari was more of an arcade shoot 'em up. I never actually played that game. The super scope looked uncomfortable. They probably should of stuck with the design for NES zapper light gun thing.

Yeah, I thought so. Actually, I just used the ROM and mouse, so no Super Scope. It's pretty fun, though.

As far as I know, Nintendo is very strict about fan games. If they find out one exits, they'll send a cease and desist order.

I'm kinda bugged by the fact that they're not even wearing basketball uniforms in this game! :stressed:

The DDR w/ Mario was shocking yet tolerable. But this NBA game?...I don't know about this one. If it's good then good. If it's lame then Nintendo probably should put more thought into putting Mario in any ol' game just to keep him popular :eh: I'd rather for Nintendo to put Mario on the back burner than to do something like this. And the last thing I want is for Mario to go from rated "E" to rated "M" (think of Conker's Bad Fur Day)...well, unless it was something like Metal Gear Solid :eyeroll:

Maybe I wouldn't have a problem with it if it was just Mario/Nintendo characters only. This kind of reminds me of Kingdom Hearts (when I heard about the Disney/FF mix I said "what the...?!" but they tell me it worked out very well).

I hope I'm not being out of line or anything when I say this but...this game is probably the closest to a Mario game with "minorities." *runs and hides*
