Son is going to the GI specialist tomorrow

Postby true_noir_chloe » Tue Jul 05, 2005 5:33 pm

My son will be going to the Pediatric Gastroentologist - FINALLY - tomorrow, July 6th. The pains internally that he's had for over a year will finally be looked at. His general practitioner had seen him four times, until he finally realized maybe there's something that might actually be wrong inside now that it's really bothering him so much - it's constant. :eyeroll:

In an earlier thread I told of how Josh has severe Tourette Syndrome. Well, his tics have been so bad, physically and verbally, the last few months that I think (my diagnosis) he's injured himself. It could be a spastic colon or something or other, not sure.

Anyway, I would appreciate your prayers for our visit tomorrow. Josh is really difficult to get to leave the house, so I'm very thankful to Sunako for talking him into going. ^______^

I appreciate all your prayers.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Postby Turbocat » Sun Jul 17, 2005 8:58 pm

Lord Jesus please be with this family, give them strength to make it through each day. Help them to cast their anxieties on You and to find courage in the Spirit to persevere through these trials. Amen

Thank you so much, for your prayers everyone.

Turbocat, I haven't seen you in forever. How are your little ones doing? Thank you so much for your prayer. It made me cry. :sniffle:

UPDATE: Joshua has something the doctor "thinks" is like a spastic colon, but he won't be sure until never. He says the problem is uncurable and can't really be diagnosed, just like Tourette's Syndrome. It's something Josh has to live with - unless he miraculously stops ticcing and getting stressed out.

The doctor wanted to do an endocsopy to see if there's damage. Josh doesn't want to go and have this done, because its intrusive and not worth it to him. He says it will just be something else that costs a lot of money and that they will say can't be cured.

This happened last week at the doctor and Josh has been in a sour mood since.

I thank you all and ask just continue to pray for us.

How old is Josh? I am so sorry. Ambiguous medical "diagnosis'" are familiar, and very frustrating to me. My dad has MS, and it has taken years to get a finial diagnosis. But now, there isn’t much to be done. And there are other family members who probably have other things going on with them, but they are very hard to pin down, or if they are, to do anything about them. I am keeping Josh and you and the rest of your family in my prayers.

Abba, I pray you would put your healing hand on Josh and this family. Please be glorified through this situation, as hard as it is. Even if You do not remove this burden, I pray you would use it strengthen Josh, and his family's faith in you. Help Josh especially to draw close to You, and to know You are his refuge and hiding place, and You will hold him close and protect him. Help Josh to see beyond this, and to learn about Your love and Your truth. Put Your angles around this family, and protect them from harm.
Amen.
To live with quiet discipline, a life defined by truth and honor.

We will extend grace and mercy as often as it is extended to us by God our father.

Faith will champion our spirit more than fear.
