Wow, it looks like you guys had a blast! Hopefully at some point, I can get in on a meeting of CAA'rs. Makes it hard living up here in the American Tundra...but at some point it'll happen. Someone on CAA needs to have family that works for an Airline...and can get us all cheap tickets. Heck, if someone could just stuff me into a duffle bag...I could make the flight ok. Just leave me some jerky or somthing in the bag...

Locke, you're correct when you said you met up with me, Ingemar, and mechana2015. But you also forgot to mention that SirThinks2Much was also there when we met you coming down the escalator.

Anime Expo 2005: My synopsis.

AWESOME!! I loved going this year. The music videos were great, cosplayers were plentiful, and there was no shortage of things to do... and buy... and get for free.

Highest point: Dinner on Saturday night!

Lowest point: Failing my most important mission of avoiding making visual contact with Man-Faye... twice. Seriously, I almost threw a tantrum the first time I saw him this year...

(Edit) Most Notable Moment: a tie between the Maaya Sakamoto concert... and the "Mario pimp" cosplayer.

Buy, anyway... It was absolutely wonderful meeting all of you who were there. Quite wonderful! ^_^ I had such a blast at dinner that day... although, sitting right under that heating lamp did get a bit scorchy... A small price to pay! Let's not hesitate to do this again next year... or sooner, at your discretion.

Now... I have two very difficult things to do:

1) Get back to reality by tomorrow morning, because work waits for no man... and

2) Get the opening and ending songs from Samurai Champloo out of my head... but... they're just so fun to listen and daydream to!! T_T I don't wanna!!!

Oh yeah! Does anyone have a picture of me with the "free kittens" sign? Once I see that, I will kill myself by watching an Episode of Letterman so funny that I die smiling. Just to be prepared, I will stand in a coffin full of flowers just to be prepared [/inside joke].

And here's another pick while I am at it.

A slight retraction of my previous "lowest point" statement: My lowest point was not (as twisted as it may seem) that I saw Man-Faye twice. That, I can actually get over pretty quickly.

My lowest point is when, on Sunday night, as I was walking to my car carrying my wooden broadsword and a sandwich from Carl's Jr., some ignorant "normal" fool had the nerve to drive by and shout out a very derrogatory term directed toward me (I know this because I was the only person on the sidewalk and he was looking right at me). Never have I wanted to either run someone through with my wooden sword (I was angry enough to actually try it... if I could run faster than a car. Scary...), cuss someone out, or flip someone off so badly. I am quite thankful, however, that I did none of these. I kept my cool (barely) and kept on walking.

The reason why I was so angry, though, is because it showed me just how close-minded people can be... and I hate anyone's close-mindedness. I guess one could say that it's my pet peeve.

Your low point not withstanding - and I would have really loved to see you chase down a car, Nightshade, AX looks like a lot of fun. The Left Coast is so very far away, though.

At last I have my pictures developed. Here are a couple, in random order. And I apologize for the size of these, if they are still very big.

Image

Taken in Downtown Disney. You've probably already seen this one, so I'll leave it at that.

Image

Good ol' Kokoro Daisuke. Taken not long after we bumped into her by chance. Her sign reads "Oni extermination service. NOW ACCEPTING CASES!"

Image

Ingemar without the mask. I didn't notice until recently that he looks like a figure out of history books. Can anyone see a Hitler resemblance?
