Prayers Needed

Postby rusty789 » Fri Jul 01, 2005 9:08 pm

I have been having a tough time lately, I feel just so misrible not only do I have a disease called Lupus an auto immune disease, but some of my friends don't want to believe in God and sometimes that makes me skeptical about believing too, I feel bad, like I'm trying to so God to others, but I'm not doing very good myself. Also I ask that you can pray for my friends who don't know god and for some people I know that are going through I tough time and to give me strength, your prayers would mean so much to me. I thank you so much.

There will be times in our lives that we meet or know people who refuse to know the Lord. And by trying to "convert" them only makes them push further away. If I allowed everyone I know discourage me, I wouldn't be living the life God has given me. The best thing I can suggest is to show you're a good friend that cares, and to be a role model for what you believe. You never know, although they may not believe now, it doesn't mean they will always deny Him.

But from experience, trying to force the issue will only make most of them argue back or hate God more.

I'll be praying that you'll be given the strength to continue, and that your friends will allow God to show Himself to them. Just don't allow their doubt make you doubt. Dont' allow thier thoughts and actions dictate your life- you will never be happy that way. Not everyone shares the same belief in Jesus as most of us here do. And sadly that's life. But God does offer comfort and forgiveness to whomever seeks it- including your friends.

Thank you both very much, I talked to them about god and just wanted to know if they wanted me to pray the prayer of salvation, but they didn't, so I left it at that. Also my friend said something that hurt me today she said a christian can be as bad as a satinist is good. :( These are the things that hurt me, and I'm worried for my friends, but I will put it into the lord's hands, I have tried.

Anytime...

anyone is capable of evil doing, even people who proclaim themselves being a followers of Christ. Just because one claims to be a believer doesn't nessecarily make them one. You can always tell a "true" follower by their words and actions. People who preach love and do hate are hyprocrites. It's sad when the actions of a few shape the views of a whole.

Edit: Anyways, I'll keep you and your friends in my prayers. I hope things work out. Continue to have faith.

But yeah, sometimes you'll encounter people like that, and they can shake us, get under our skin, and try to change our actions or so, but we can't give in to them. I hope that made sense.. sometimes I don't explain things good...

Perfect sence, thanks.
