PEPSI PWNS COKE!! It's got a smoother taste! That's why I prefer Pepsi Vanilla over Vanilla Coke. Although I like Vanilla Coke, too. I do admit that Coke has a cooler shaped bottle and cover, but as for the taste, PEPSI ROCKS!!

I voted for Pepsi, although I prefer both in different situations.

Around the house I drink Pepsi, but when I am out I tend to order Coke. Coke has a strange aftertaste that I don't like to experience on a regular basis, but it is good occasionally.

I used to drink a lot of soda, but now I drink a lot of tea and coffee instead. My favorite soda is Dr. Pepper, with Pepsi coming in second.

I will drink both Coke and Pepsi.

Just a warning. If you come to Ga or any southern state and you order a drink. Even if the menu says that they have Pepsi on it, you just say that you have a coke.

Around here, everything is coke and if you say, I have a pepsi. You are going to get the most clueless look on the person that is taking your order.

As a fellow Georgian, I'd have to say he's right. Any dark carbonated beverage other than root beer is referred to as "Coke" around here. If you call it by any other name, even it's proper name, you are then spotted and recognized as being an alien xD

I've been to Georgia for work. I spent four months there. Oddly enough, the place I spent the most time eating in - the Mad Italian in Doraville, just inside the beltway on the East side of Atlanta, served Pepsi. A truly unfortunate occurrence, but the food was good and not too expensive.

Ahhh, you were near Atlanta. That explains a little. Atlanta and Augusta are just about the only "citified" places in GA ^_~

Pepsi all the way... The difference between pepsi and coke is that coke has ginger and pepsi doesn't... I don't like Ginger... So, yeah, pepsi...

I have never met anyone that preferred Mr. Pibb to Dr. Pepper... Then sierra mist and sprite, they're about the same... They both > 7-Up... 7-up is like flat sprite... I also don't like straight lemonade (like squirt) except for Mike's hard lemonade, but that's an entirely different subject... I don't like the prune juice drinks, and I prefer Pepsi for everything, and I prefer Vanilla to plain.

just occasionally so my insides don't get eaten away by the acids.

Um... Yeah, that's not gonna happen... Far more acid in lemonjuice than in pepsi or coke, and even sprite can't possible hurt your digestive system, just your teeth.

Sadly enough, I have to testify to the coke-by-all-names phenomenon. I had to explain to several not-happy customers that we only had Pepsi at work. But yes, down here you can really have a conversation like this:
"I'll have a coke"
"what kind?"
"Dr. Pepper, thanks"
And not think twice about it

That being said, I'm a Coca-cola girl. It has more zing to it; Pepsi is too sweet to me. But, I've had to down like 7-8 cups of Pepsi at work before, so I can tolerate it pretty well. ^^

I'm another that uses "coke" generically.

I tend to prefer Pepsi though. Sweeter, and goes down gentler

Is Pepsi-cola Pepsi, or Coke, or both?

I voted for coke. Apparently if you dropped a raw steak in a big vat of coke it would be gone in 3 days. Acidic I think.
