i dunno if anyone has mentioned Ghoti Hook yet but i love them and pretty much no one around me knows about them... i wish they'd not have broken up though...
and of corse i've gotta mention Five Iron Frenzy because they're my all time favorite.... though i'm not sure if they'd belong in this topic because there are plenty of people who have heard of them... still though there are a lot of people who havent.
OH! ---> Little Pieces of Me <---- you can check them out at http://www.littlepiecesofme.com they're also on myspace and purevolume
they're a pretty new band and well i'm sure none of you have heard about them because they're a local band right now but they're good

Ash-My absolute favorite Indie Rockers on the planet. My absolute favorite band.
The Futureheads- Great Indie Rockers with excellent dance songs. They even did an excellent rendition of "Hounds Of Love" which was originally by Kate Bush.
Razorlight- Yet another great group of Indie Rockers from London.
Barfly- Just think: Keane...WITH GUITARS!
Skeleton Jar- They're just plain awesome.
Muse- I don't know if they're that "obscure" anymore, but I love them anyway.

If you like Screamo, I don't suggest checking out any of the aforementioned bands.

All Left Out. They're a punk band from Kiwiland (as CA would say). They sound somewhat like Green Day. Quite good stuff...I met them and got their CD at the Warped Tour in Denver.

Fabrik is pretty cool. They can be found on Purevolume and MySpace. They're Christian. I guess they're sort of pop/punk/emo. Also, if you like rap (or at least can tolerate it well enough), Pushmode is a cool Christian smalltime group (a duo, I think). They give their stuff away, like, completely free. They aren't in it for profit, they're in it for God. ^_^

Five O'Clock People. They're a Christian band, and I'm not sure they're still together... but they had an awesome album called "Fall." My favorite song is Lunar.

The band is not Christian Per-se but all the band members are Christian and their songs are ussually sprinkled with spirituallity.

I love Anberlin to death :P

Spoken is the vokenest Christian band around... but not much popularity there^^

Crowned King is also a great scop (or whatever the genre's called band)

Sugarcult is a great punk band! One of those bands people don't remember they know unless they hear their songs (if you played NHL 2005, most likely you've heard them then).
