God, those were great times.
Myoti wrote:I enjoy Sonic as much as anyone else, but that little caffienated-hedgehod causes me one pain in the rear today.
Today, I go to Rhino's to drop off 1) our old Sega Genesis, 2) the original Sonic the Hedgehog game, and 3) Zelda for SNES (we have the GBA version). All together it came to:
$14.75.
So I go around and try to find something worth that and come across Sonic Mega Collection. I buy it, drive home, set up the GC, turn on, discover the game is scratchec. I mean severly scratched. So I drive back, tell the people about it, they try to fix it, doesn't work, it's their only copy, so I end up buying Pikmin (fun!) instead and finally go back home to play something.
Other than that, yeah, I love Sonic! ^-^
That I have wondered, what would, if possible, a Sonic RPG be like?
*waits to be attacked for this suggestion*
*coughcough*

Also, why would you sell all that classic hardware?? if you were to sell it, wait another 20 years so that it costs more!
That'd be sweet.
Instructions:
Construct it like a sidescrolling Sonic game but with 3-D Cel-Shaded graphics. Next, give the enemies HP, so they don't always go down in one hit.
Then, add a character switch system so you can use Tails, Knuckles, and so on. Finally, implement a skill system, so you could level up your characters and give them new skills and attributes, like a faster spindash for Sonic, longer Flight for Tails, or quicker climbing for Knuckles.
Release it for all of the next-gen systems, and overlay a good plot onto it, and you have one thing: Pure Awesome.

frwl wrote:no, that's StH2. I agree with you. Even SonicRose says that game was a bit too hard for her tastes.

You poor, poor man. I'd rather sell my GBA version than the SNES version. The translation errors combined with the poor control system (you use R instead of A to dash and talk?! WTC?!), and Link's IRRITATING "Hya!" "HA!" every time he swung his sword made the GBA version VASTLY inferior to the SNES version. So I feel sorry for you, Myoti.

Tom Dincht wrote:A Sonic RPG? That idea is rock-solid Myoti. I have jockingly thought about that from time to time but after playing Megaman X Command Mission a Sonic RPG isn`t that unlikely and may be a fun play. If it does come out I doubt you`d get credit.
It would NOT work as a turn based RPG though. It would have to be action RPG. Otherwise you lose the speed element.
