Summer Camp

Postby oro! » Sat Jun 25, 2005 8:27 am

So, I have just gotten back from one of the best camps ever, Camp Awanita. It was so fun! We had corporate worship twice a day, hummer rides, zip line, slide, bumper boats, a lake that all of those were in(minus the hummer) and more. I know my group was the rowdiest there! You know how you get that high right after camp, I am so having it right now. I just have to keep it...
Anyway, so I saw some candidates there for CAAage. Anyone else there. (kinda doubt it, but who knows?)
So, here's a snippet of all the crazy stuff that happened there. some people from my youth group decided to go play ultimate frisbee. I went along, but that didnt' seem to matter. Anyway, my team was on the offence. Someone had just thrown jackson the frisbee, when all of a sudden Sam comes and :smack: runs his shoulder into his lip. Jackson starts bleeding and whe he gets up a minute later you see this hole through his lip. Sam sure didn't mean it, but oW! He had to go to the emerency room. Later on some of hte guys make up a song called "But he caught the frisbee!"
Any camp experiences you want to share?

"Why don't we love his truth as much as we seem to love his love?"- Cross Movement, in their song "Check us Out"

I'm so glad to hear you had a blast. I've been to camp once, which was pretty cool

When I went to camp long time ago, we also played ultimate frisbee a few time too. Gosh I love that game. What I liked the most was the obstacle ropes course and the games of capture the flag in the pitch dark. Though at first I didn't much care for the food, it eventually grew on me. But yeah, it's always fun to do something out of the norm.

Anyways, I'm glad to see you have returned home safely with some memorable things.

When I was going to camp they had an award for the neatest cabin,a crown, and
a award for the messiest one, a pig. They gave it at the end of each day in chapel.
You didn't want to get the pig at the end of the week.
