I didn't understand your comment UC. :)

Anyway, Rachel is my homefry, which reminds me, Eire, if you had a Rachel nickname which one would you prefer? Please pick from the list below:

1. homefry
2. homeskillet
3. homie
4. none of the above

I forget the rest of her nicknames, but they are equally homey. ^__^

And I agree, McDonalds is "bleh." Sorry, Rachel. Which brings me to another question: Which is your favorite restaurant?

YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

uc, am I to assume that you also avoid the Eatery of the Evil Clown?

uc pseudonym wrote:...this may be the first time I've posted in your thread, so that was likely a strange opening post. I've merely been reading out of curiosity, and never felt the need to ask any questions or respond until now. Nice to meet you... again.

Yes! It was nice to meet you face to face. Now I can put a voice to that dry humor. :)

Eire, if you had a Rachel nickname which one would you prefer?

TNC, I would sadly have to choose #4. I just don't feel "at home" with any of those nicknames. :)

Which is your favorite restaurant?

I like Chevy's best, I think. For cheap fast food, though, I think Jack in the Box wins, with Carl's Jr. coming in second. (Depending on the location... there are some really bad Carl's Jrs, including the one nearest my house.) For a really good splurge, there's an upscale local restaurant we go to occasionally that has REALLY YUMMY cheese bread as an appetizer. The rest of the food is excellent as well, and the atmosphere is very quiet and comfortable, like going to a sweet old granny's house.

And I agree, McDonalds is "bleh."

Well, Rachel... Not to gloat or anything, but... YOU'RE OUTNUMBERED!!! MWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!

Down with the McEvilness.

Sorry, Rachel, but McDonald's suck. All they serve that is edible is good coffee, that is if they don't let it boil for five hours.

What is your oppinion on the book of Job?

What do you consider is the best thing the Chinese civilization discovered / invented?

Rachel said, "I don't think I can talk to you anymore," so I said, "I believe I can," meaning: "I believe I can talk to you." However, the "anymore" sort of tags along, making my sentence, "I believe I can talk to you anymore," which is odd.

Funny, I happend to be applying to the restaurant with the thrombus-coloured arches represented by a red haired gentleman that can easily be mistaken for Stephen King's "It." But just because I might work there doesn't mean I'll have to eat there.

I'm sick and tired of all this job hunting. If only I refined my skills as a street mime, I may actually have a respectable occupation.

Hear, hear. Actually, I don't even drink their coffee... mostly because coffee of any kind tends to disagree with me, and if it's from the McPlace it has even more reason to start a thermonuclear war in my innards.

Next questions:

What is your oppinion on the book of Job?

I think it's a very interesting book. I especially enjoy the nature imagery, when God is reaming Job up one side and down the other, asking him how exactly the universe functions, since he's so smart and all. :) Some of my favorite nature "scenes" come from the book of Job.

What do you consider is the best thing the Chinese civilization discovered / invented?

Ooh, good question. I'll have to ask Mith what my options are]How do you feel about the nickname "McWolfie?"
Yes... I suppose you may be forgiven... It's not quite as bad as working for the Evil Empire (i.e. Microsoft). But beware you don't get sucked into the vortex of McRatburgers and Blegh McMuffins.

Anything beats the Tarnished Arches. Almost anything. Actually, In 'N' Out is a really good place to work, from what I hear. I have several friends that have worked there. Supposedly it's a Christian organization.

Coffee all tastes the same to me. It tastes like tar. And yes, I've had Peets, and all that Hawaiian and Sumatran Weasel Colon stuff. Nevertheless I like coffee. And I like it black. It has all the qualities of a puddle of vomit on the street--it is revolting yet inexplicably attractive at the same time.

Something about "Evil Empires" has a nice ring to it. I believe all evil empires are given too much of a bad rap. Think about the Galactic Empire of Star Wars: what did they ever do to people of the Galaxy who weren't Rebels? It's all the Rebels' fault, malcontents always screw up society. I can't say too much about Ol' Bill now that he's my father in law. And I actually find that Sausage McMuffins with Egg are rather forgivable.

Supposedly. Here in [REDACTED], there is a small joint called E-Z-Take Out Burger which in all ways except fries is identical to In N' Out. I believe they are business partners, or at least EZ is a subsidiary of In N' Out. Their bags actually explicitly say "Jesus Loves You."

Earlier I would have objected to working at In N' Out because they make you cut your hair. But since I got a haircut because hair in my ears was getting annoying, I figured it wasn't such a bad thing. I'll definitely give them a second look.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but... HOW is a puddle of vomit in any way attractive?!

Some bad raps are well-deserved. :) I think you're giving the malcontents a bad rap, though... And I won't even ask about the father-in-law comment. :o

I despise poodles almost as much as McEvilness. They don't qualify as real dogs, and I regularly refer to them as "furry footballs."

Also, what is your opinion on guys who shave their legs?

If it's for olympic swimming, then they have a good reason. Otherwise... it's a little weird. But then, perhaps it's to make up for all the women in Europe who don't shave their underarms... *shudder*

If you could build a time-machine enabling you to live in a past era, which era would you choose?

What do you consider to be the ugliest city in the world?

If you could win an all-expenses paid trip to any country in the world, where would you go?

Do you believe that modern American cinema can benefit from more floating heads?

I was just skimming through this thread and I read this (note: yes, there were other countries listed....):

Q: IF you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
A: New Zealand

Its nice to know we're not an entirely neglected little group of islands in the South Pacific ^_^.

Which do you like better - Summer, Winter or both?

The muffin man?!

bigsleepj wrote:If you could build a time-machine enabling you to live in a past era, which era would you choose?

I used to think it would be cool to live in Renaissance times, or on the American plains pre-white-man, or with the Celts. But then I think, they didn't have things like... hygiene. Or vaccinations. Little things like that. So... now is good. :)

What do you consider to be the ugliest city in the world?

Well I haven't been around the world, but the ugliest city I've seen is Los Angeles. I avoid it whenever possible.

If you could win an all-expenses paid trip to any country in the world, where would you go?

Let's see... earlier I mentioned my desire to go to New Zealand, Scotland, Ireland, and I'll throw in Wales too. Any of those would be good.

Do you believe that modern American cinema can benefit from more floating heads?

Umm... no. Yes? I have no idea. All I know is that American cinema has a lot of room for improvement.

CreatureArt wrote:Its nice to know we're not an entirely neglected little group of islands in the South Pacific ^_^.

Yes... Well, a certain movie trilogy might have had something to do with it.

Which do you like better - Summer, Winter or both?

Summer. I don't like being cold. I grew up in a very hot place, so I'm more used to sweating than shivering.

uc pseudonym wrote:Are you pedantic in relation to words?

Was that question for me, or for CreatureArt? I'll answer anyway, first by mentioning that this was a very ironic question, as I had to look up "pedantic." I don't think I'm pedantic about words, but I don't dumb down my speech unless it's necessary.

Both Summer and Winter are my favourite seasons. :)
