Quicktime fullscreen can pass through DV from a firewire port?!?

quicktime won't go full screen for me... unless i bought "pro"

psh forget that, VLC is WAY much cooler

No, no, I meant over composite.

Which I can now do, since I bought the iBook :) CompSpewSA had a 1-day grand opening in Rancho Cucamonga where they were offering the 12" with a free 512MB stick (for a total of 768MB), and 36 months zero interest financing. Total cost: $1080 with tax. Sold! That's about $30/mo over 36 months -- but I can easily have this paid well before the time the APR becomes relevant. Besides, I was going to buy it in a couple months anyway.

So, to make this ontopic, I also bought the mini-VGA to composite/S-video adaptor, so I can use it as a portable DVD player or do presentations to TVs. I'm quite sure you can get a composite signal out of a mini's DVI port, so you could do the same.
