Nirvana! (No, it's not new-age)

Any Nirvana fans here? It's my favourite secular band ever.

Okay, for those who don't know, It was this band that started in 1989 and ended in 1994 because of the lead singer's death (Most of the world says it was a suicide, I say it was a murder). They had some really good lyrics (Anti-rape, anti-sexist and stuff), too. Their song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was dubbed the official song of the nineties, too. Even though the band ended in 1994, you can still hear some of their songs on the radio now. Yeah, that's Nirvana in a nutshell.

Before anyone says "it's an evil pagan band because it is called Nirvana", it isn't. They called it Nirvana because it meant "Somewhere peaceful". Not really the afterlife Nirvana.

Smells like teen spirit was about how much they (well, Kirk anyhow) hated the very kind of people who loved them... Sorta like Gainax with "Otaku no Video"

Off-topic, but did you model that armored vehicle yourself? That's pretty nice... About what my level is, actually... What program did you model that in? (oh, sorry, maybe we could talk about this in Computing... PM me if you wanna start a thread there about modeling...)

Nirvana.... I guess it's kinda of a love-hate thing. Yeah, they were good but there so many other things about it to look at. I don't mean to argue but Kurt left a suicide note. I read it in a book. It's a case where I kick myself in the butt because Kurt was a perfect example of the searching soul. He never found the answer and I wonder if anyone ever told him about Jesus. Were talking about the guy that drove the band that ignited the music of the 90s and even today. If anyone should have been happy it was him. 'smells like teen spirit' was an example of the people's demand and how Kurt was trying to respond. It was voted by VH1 as the top song in the past 25 years. anyway....
