So Linksquest, have you heard anything about Gorons or Zoras being in the game? I love the little Gorons...They're awesome!! *remembers the Gorons in WW*...They were so AWESOME!! XD Seriously though, have you heard anything? O.o

Link dukes it out in a very Rocky-ish style with a Goron... o_O! Zora's im not so sure about now... but hopefully they will be... (it woudnt make sense to include the gorons and not the zoras [see OoT and OoS]). I shall have to chek my sources and report back when i have confirmation of one way or another.

My A: "Yes, but i have never finished one." I started FF VI, because MSP told me it was really awsome (it is his fav FF game). I played it for a while but then got bored. I was very tired at the time. Mebbe during the summer i will give the game a better chance.

But, while we are once again straying from the thread topic at hand :Twilight Princess, let me help to stray it more from the topic before bringing it back. The "goodness", "Awsomness", "Coolness", and/or "Greatness" of a game is (GASP!) Subjective. Hmmmmn... mebbe that's why we have Revolution, Xbox360, and PS3 coming up... people have their own preferences for each system (no matter how "I OWN ALL 3 systems" they may be.) believe it or not... there are people out there who care more about the experience of a game than how "awsome" the graphics are (DOUBLE GASP!).

I am not going to start a debate about which game series "Zelda or FF" is better... because the objective answer is that they are equal. Every game is equal because of the mere fact that it is a game. Each person has there own tastes as to which the games they enjoy playing. (mebbe that's why we have so many genres... hmmmn...).

I have no doubt that somewhere on CAA there is a FF thread, in which you could talk about it there... Im sorry if this plucks any nerves, but i would never... NEVER rant about Zelda in a "gamers galore" thread about FF... it's common courtesy. It causes strife and arguments based on subjective beliefs of the fanboys/girls.


And yes... I am a fanboy. Im proud of it. If you have a problem with it... i don't care.

Again with the off-topicness... getting off topic sometimes is ok, but TOM DINCHT... it seems that you want to talk incessintly about FF in this ZELDA thread... my question to you is... "WHY?!" There are FF threads in which you can talk about FF.


I also agree with MSP.. there was no purpose in you essentially saying that FF fans have been waiting longer for the next game to come out... frankly... i dont care about how long either of us had to wait for the game to come out (besides the fact that there are more FF games than Zelda games... o_O)

Tom, I think you should read the Forum Rules about flaming and trolling.

Trolling is deliberately posting controversial material in order to stir up strife.

Final Fantasy isn't really controversial, at least not in that sense of the word. However, going into a thread devoted specifically to Zelda and posting about how it's disappointing and that Final Fantasy is better is deliberately trying to irritate other people. Some off-topicness sometimes occurs in threads as a natural thought process. But you are deliberately going off-topic in your posts.

We know how you feel about this game already, you posted your opinion in this thread long ago. If you're going to just sit there and trash the game, please don't post in this thread.

For some reason I'm under the impression that Midna is the "fairy" for this game, but I could be entirely off. But I don't think even a fairy 100 times as annoying as Navi could squelch my excitement for this game. *_*; I remember seeing the first trailers and nearly shedding tears of joy.

I never bashed Zelda in this thread ONCE! I do personally like FF7,8, and 10 better than every Zelda game but that doesn`t mean i don`t like Zelda. I found FF7,8, and 10 beautiful games that are on my top ten which Twilight Princess may crawl it`s way up to.

The only way,shape, or form that I bashed this game was by saying I expected it to be better, but i can`t officially say it because I haven`t played it so scratch that.

The only problum is, I`ll only be playing this game over my friend`s house ssice I don`t have a Gamecube.

And what makes you people think I`m trying to start an arguement? I, along with many other people, don` like disagreeing with other people. I like when people agree with me and if they don`t that`s fine, that`s their opinion. It`s only aggrivating when people jump up and say:

And don`t say In My Opinion. I like Zelda. It`s my second favorite dungeoncrawler series (sorry, Grandia takes the cake) but i`m not a fan how each game it`s a different Link and Zelda but some are connected.

The actual Battle system will be very similar in base to that of OoT and MM. But, of course it shall be updated, (you fight on the back of a horse for example). I have no doubt that there will be a "guide" in this game as there was one in on OoT, MM, and WW (WW had the necklace thing that Tetra gave you... it wasn't necessarily a fairy like Tatl and Navi)

Yes. Tatl was much less annoying than Navi. It's funny, though, because the whole premise of MM is that LInk goes into the forest to find her... o_O... go figure.

I read up in a few magazines and it said that the physics as far as shields and weapons might be more realistic...they said something about how Link's shield being stored on his back while he was riding a horse protected him from arrows being fired from behind, which would be VERY interesting and cool. ^^

Yes, i have heard about the shield while on horseback as well. It indeed will be awsome!!!

I really wish that they would get rid of the whole "guide" thing.... it really seems to make the game too easy... telling you bosses weak points ect...

Maybe they should include a "Hard Maode" that deletes this feature and increases the amount of damage you take and lessens the damage you give out. I think this would make it more like the zelda games pre-oot.

I dunno... everyone seems to be hoping it will be like OoT, but I for one, was severly dissapointed with the difficulty of that game...

Ok, the reason i posted the "FF" thing is because Linksquest was talking about how he had to wait till Oct till Zelda TP comes out so I feltl ike telling him how FF fans had it worse since FF12 is coming out in March 2006 and we`ve known about it longer. Yea. I agree with you Ikimasu on both counts. I do think they should get rid of the guide thing. But, sometimes, even with the guides, players can get stuck on the tiniest details. (IT TOOK ME 2 days to realize in MC that I had to fill my bottle with water to grow the vine )

Yay! I can't wait for this game. I reserved it a year ago. Of course I'm still no closer to the release date then I was when I first reserved it, but that's ok. I must admit each new Zelda game has some new and interesting feature. And each new Zelda game will have hordes of people bashing it. Saying "why can't you just make one more like OOT" Why? because they can't take the easy way out and make OOT clones every game. They have to make new stuff or we would be playing the same game over and over again.

Because I`m not a diehard fanboy who makes fun of people or "rolls on the floor laughing" just because they get Zelda and Link mixed up.

First of all, if you walk up to any random person and ask them:

"Whose the main character of Zelda?"

9/10 will undoubtably say:

"Zelda, obviously, now who are you?"

As a matter of fact, some kid in my school has a Zelda shirt that says "The Legend Of Zelda: on it (we`re aquaintances) and most people would either say:

"Hey, he`s got Zelda on his shirt. Isn`t Zelda a girl`s name? Japanimation is so confusing cause that looks like a guy."

Or:

"Hey, it`s peter pan with a sword."

And finally, what about 3 kids said were:

"Doesn`t Link Have Blonde hair?"

Therefore, it`s stupid to make a big deal over me getting the two mixed up. The series should be called "Link`s Quest" becacause Zelda doesn`t have as big of a role.

PS: The kid`s shirt had link with brown hair. The original, I think it was. I think kaemmerite said something about Link not having any pants in the original Zelda and just a long, green shirt. He had orange pants.

Anyways, I agree with Pent. If every game were just like OoT, we'd have lots of OoT's, and no originality! ^_^ Not like OoT's a bad thing, but...Well, take WW for example. It was a really, really fun game, and it was on the opposite side of the spectrum from OoT! ^_^ I loved the last two dungeons in WW...I think the only downside to that game was the tedious water travelling, but even that had it's rewards in the end...I love Zelda games! n_nv

Soory, I thought you were laughing at me. It`s annoying when people rub in your mistakes. Anyways, on topic:

Windwaker was a good game and I think that style of graphics were acceptable for one main reason: "It`s the world through a child`s eyes".

I played OoT and found it fun and thought it was simply titled "The Legend of Zelda" the whole time i played it since my cousin that let me play through it tore the sticker off. I also played "Oracle of Ages" for GBC but always called it "Oracle of Time: so kid are like: "No, it`s ocarana of Time, you idiot!" I`m just like: "Zelda nerds."

Never got the chance to play Majora`s Mask because my cousin didn`t have an expantion pack so he never played it either. Why buy a game that needs an expansion pack and why did you need it? as it better than OoT?

Haha...I didn't get to play MM until it came out in for GCN...Too expensive! At least back then, anyways. So now I've got the entire collection on one little disc...I still prefer OoT on the '64, though...Good times! XD

Aw, I never got to play Master Quest. I can't find it anymore, either. XP I'd hate to see the Water Temple in that game...That was the hardest, longest dungeon in my opinion. ...<_< >_> Was anyone else freaked out by the Well in Kakariko? .::shiver::. I hated that Dead Hand boss...The Shadow Temple wasn't SO bad, even though Re-deads give me the creeps...XD I remember when Skulltullas freaked me out...Man, that was a long time ago...

I haven't played the master quest yet. Though I heard that it's especially difficult.
