Cedar Point

Postby Pent » Fri Jun 10, 2005 7:31 pm

Well for my middle school graduation the whole 8th grade class got to go to Cedar Point. We planned it so that we could have 10 hours in the park, and be there in back in one day. I live in Grandville Michigan which is a five hour drive from Cedar Point. You do the math. That's a 20 hour day. Half of it driving, and half of it waiting in line for the biggest roller coasters in the world. (Also of .000074 percent of that day was spend riding the rollar coasters but I don't think that counts). The lines wheren't really that bad for what they usually are. The longest one I had to wait in was for the Dragster. It took about an hour and a half. I got in the very front seat of the dragster though. The ride is only seven seconds long but it is really fun. Most people think it is all scary and stuff. It is before you go, but it's over so quick it is alot more fun then it is scary. Rides like the Millinum Force are alot more scary because you go up the whole hill so slowly and then you creep over the edge. You get going so fast on the dragster you don't even realize anything. Really fun though. The bus ride there and back with all my friends was really fun to. Of course we loaded up on candy, Jones soda, Red Bull, and Vault (the new energy drink from coke). So I never felt tired in the entire day. Pluss adrenline from those rides. I never actually did get more tired then I usually do. It's pretty amazing. So has anyone else here been to Cedar Point? Anything memorable to talk about?

Never been there, but that sounds so fun!!! I LOVE amusement parks! That's not fair... I just graduated from 8th grade, too, and we didn't get anything like that... *pouts*

So, where is Cedar Point?

Cedar Point is AWESOME! The honor roll in middle school got to go there at the end of the year and we usually go up with our prayer group every summer. I think we're going in July this year ^^ I'm so excited for the new ride. It looks fun, and of course I love the dragster and the millenium force. And the raptor of course! VEEERRRY front seat is the only way to go on the raptor ^^ I like the Millenium force better than the dragster thoguh b/c the dragster is just too short... they needed to make it longer ;;_;;

the best rollercoaster to go with friends on though is the Gemini. You slap people's hands when you pass them by and make fun of them when their train loses >XD

so, what was your longest wait?

My longest wait was an hour and a half for dragster. That's not to bad for Cedar Point.
Most of the other waits didn't take nearly that long. My friend is inviting a whole bunch of people (including me) to go up to Cedar Point this July with her youth group! That's funny. The Max Air from what I hear is fun. I was actaully on it and strapped in, but they released our seats and made us leave because it was lightning. And I had waited
half and hour for that to!

holy crud only 1 1/2 hrs!? When exactly did you go again?
If I remember correctly, our longest time last year was around 3 hrs for the millenium force. The dragster didn't take that long though. I think it was only about an hour or two. and we were like "wow! only 2 hours!" that's when you know things are a little pathetic.

We hit everything perfectly, to get the shortest possible waits, and still get on most every ride. It wasn't the shortest possible, but for how busy it was it was the shortest possible. Me and my friend, where at the top of the Power Tower, when we noticed how short the line was for Dragster. You have to be selective with Cedar Point to get short waits. This lady told me about a time of year when you can get on any ride in 15 minutes! And some days the shortest would be like 3 hours.

Holy Mother of Cottage Cheeze!! Pent, I went there for my 8th grade class!

Craziness! Anyways...yes Cedar rocks face...rocks face so hard that when you ride the rides...it falls off and hits the person behind you.

I live a hour and half away form it (toledo) so I got there a couple times a year.

Cedar Point Been going there ever since I was born, ridden every ride there, I love it. Funny thing is I am deathly afraid of heights...yet I love the Power Tower (going down....when you hanf 300 feet in the air for like 10 seconds), Millenium Force, and one of the best Top Thrill Dragster (bows down in the awesomeness of TTD).

LUCKY!!! My family would definitely get passes if we lived up there... but alas we only live in Columbus...

Well we wouldn't get passes if we lived in Toledo. Maybe a little closer than that. And sometime I want to go on a schoolday. Just take off the day and go up there when there's like NO ONE there. That'd be nice.

That's alot of fun to do. My friend and I got on the Millenium Force 3 times that day...half and hour wait. BOOYAH!!

I also went with my youth group and it was raining...and I rode the Millenium...felt like bullets hitting your skin...but fun.

Best thing was that everyone left so all th elines were short. Basically we walked on the Raptor 5 times

Yeah, Cedar Point is cool! We live only about 50 min away. Alas, I never get to go, however!

Never have anyone to go with...*mumble mumble*

That is so not fair. I went there once and I waited in line for FOUR hours and then for some reason they had to close it. We were going to get on any miniate than...
That was a waist, and not to mention I got sun burn.......well that's all in the past, and next time i go, that will be the first ride to go on, rather then at night.

ohhhh no that's not so bad. When I went with my class the Top Thrill Dragster had JUST re-opened from maintenance like a few days before and we were all hyped up. We got in line and waited for like 30 mins outside the actual line. But NOOO it was too windy to start it up that day. And guess what makes it even better.... just as we got into the parking lot, we saw them start it up again with people on it. >X| grrrr Its a good thing I got to go on it later that summer.... I had been looking forward to TTD for like FOREVER and I was sooo annoyed that it was closed just that time when we were there then reopened as soon as we left ToT

I love Cedar Point in my native land (oHIo). I don't go too often, but I was there last year. The dragster's a hoot.
