Lol! Been there... Usually when I'm trying to complete an assigment at the last moment... and yes, procrastination isn't good. Sometimes you have to learn that by experience.
*glomps Yeito* Go colouring buddy! \(*o*) I'm really looking forward to colouring this. ^_^ Must... get... black... ink! Otherwise I'll just change the outline from black and white to colour (is that within the rules?) in Photoshop and go from there. ^_^ Hmm... that could look quite cool.

Yay! Coloring buddies! -wait...everybody else already said that, oh well, *shrugs* I've just said it again! Yup, it really doesn't matter who's looks the best, because not everyone's had the same amount of experience and training, and we don't all have access to the same tools.
This is such a cool picture though, I'm having trouble deciding what medium to use. I think I'll do a multimedia composit *begins scribbling with colored pencils, markers, and toothpaste while humming a coloring buddy song*

I'm trying out some different colour combinations on my hair and working my way around highlights and shadows.

How are all your pictures coming along, colouring buddies? :)

Anyone mind if I join in this month? I doubt I'll be any good but I'm likely to try.

I'm sure nobody would mind at all, but if you want to check, Olorc's your man.

By the way, cool new avatar!

Welcome aboard! How'ld you guess our initiation ritual? ah well... do your best, use anything you got to beat out the others.
There are some techniques not yet employed. I think some of you (cough-piloswine-cough) might benefit from. These include stalking, hog tying, and/or incompacitating the opposition in real life. The less people who can post an entry, the fewer people there are to compete with. I would suggest going after the big guns first.
About the contests... I just started this one (and now the photo contest also located in the art corner) because a) I had a few piece I wanted to see how people interpreted them b) I like organizing events that bring people together in friendly competition and c) I needed something to distract me from my caijun chicken obsession. There, now you know. Go and do what you will.
If there are no objections, I'll judge this month because I won't have time to color.
okay?

Sorry I am late this month, I was... busy.

My computer is having issues with opening attachments lately, so I just have to go to the library sometime and print out the picture. Once that is acomplished the real fun begins...

Blah ha ha.

I understand your having a coloring contest. Mind if I join in? I'll be using MSPaint, if that's alright. I've learned some really great tips on how to color well in paint. ^^

 bwahaha  . I wouldn't trust myself to colour my own hair, let alone someone else's... but I could always follow Olorc's advice and unleash my anti-hairdressing powers on some of the stronger colouring competition in order to increase my own chances at victory  . Do you think that would work, Olorc?

Go MSPaint! There are some things I do like about the program, such as how you can easily work on mainpulating induvidual pixels, the grid option, etc. It's also really cool for making small animated gifs, like Photosoph does.

the_lizardqueen wrote:Stoopid pretty Dolphins!!! What...colour...are they!?!?!

I know. I'm really debating that at the moment, too. So far I've just about got his costume colours sorted, I have his hair and skin almost completely done and am trying to figure out what colour the dolphins could be.

Welcome, Keckhs!

Yes! Hurrah for the underrated potential of the common Programs->Accessories->MS Paint!
Looking forward to seeing your finished version, LQ.

Aww, thankies! Though I'm afraid I have to admit that I've betrayed my beloved MSpaint and opted to use Corel Photopaint this time around (bad me! BAD!)

I'm looking forward to seeing your version too ^_^

Oo, and I think I've solved the problem of the colorless dolphins by making them-

*claps hands over her mouth*

Ack! I shouldn't tell, cause then I'll be tainting everyone elses' creative process, and totally giving away my one good idea! *runs away*

LOL - I'll look forward to seeing what colour your dolphins are, LQ.

I've also decided on a colour, finally. I have also not used the dodge and burn turns on photoshop, and I'm sticking to using the brushes with different tones, like somebody mentioned.. I'm not sure if it was on this thread or a different one... :P .

Ah ha ha! This shoud be good then. I look forward to seeing your version. It's nice so many people are stepping out of their artistic comfort zones for this. It's the best way to learn.
I'm trying to push myself a little with this one too, using photoshop to composite colored pencil and toothpaste... *clasps hands over face* errr, I think I've said too much as well!
