I love clouds

Postby chibi_chan » Tue May 31, 2005 6:46 pm

Lately I have gotten a fetish with clouds so I decided to take pictures of them. =3 I'm not a very good photographer so they're a kinda bad.^^; I fixed these up a bit sence the were darker before.

Here's the one's I took from this morning:

The clouds were kinda foggy and boring this morning (yet I still took pictures of them XD; )
Image

Here's one my mom took she calls it the "donut cloud"
Image

The ones from this afternoon (we took lots of pictures here):

ImageImageImage

This is one my mom took, she said it looked like a UFO
Image

I really thought this cloud was awsome looking it was a lot bigger then the picture makes it out to be.
Image

This is another one my mom took, she says it looks like the Burger king crown XD
Image

These are the ones I took in the evening:

AH, the clouds! \*o*/

I moved to Texas because they had the biggest cumulunimbus clouds in the distance and awesome thunderstorms. I love clouds. Texas is flat enough to see the tall anvil heads of certain cumulunimbus as they reach near 40,000 feet. I grew up on a canyon near the coast in Southern California and you never saw awesome clouds like you do in Texas.

Yeah, I'm a cloud geek and through osmosis my daughter has caught the bug.

I love clouds, too, my little Chibs. ^________^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

My dad is a weather geek and he instilled in me a great appreciation for clouds. I love the pic on the far right just below the donut cloud.

aw..thanks! i'm not really any good, but I just get these cravings to capture stuff and I go snap-happy. with a digital camera, it's easier. none of that is like..photo-shopped or anything though, it's all straight-photos.

hmm...Ohio? lol...I complain about it alot. This part of OHio(northeast) gets ALOT of ugly grey clouds, but yeah..on a good day we can get some gorgeous skies and sunsets. I guess it balances out in the long run. :)

Oh clouds! I remember when I was younger how I make a game of them. I would sit in the middle of a field or be looking up while my parents drive and try to find figures. I still do it occasionally. Sometimes it's the simple things that really make you think about things... just random things.

Now I find pleasure in watching chemical trails. Okay, maybe not :P

Clouds are viewed best from up above in planes. From there they look even more awesome.

I've been seeing a lot of clouds lately that resemble dragons (I've also seen a few that resembles Godzilla and Zentrodi battle cruisers but that's a different story). I really like looking at lone clouds. I suppose they can be something like an ink-blot test for some people.

I have just recently discovered the joy of clouds. Something about looking into the huge blue sky and white clouds puts everything into perspective. It makes me remember just how big God is, and how small everything else is. And yes, clouds do make cool shapes. I sometimes get ideas from them, and try to draw the stuff I see.

I used to see clouds often in the morning while I walked down the hill to my school. And when it just sprinkles with rain and there's this bright sunlight, and the cloud formation, WOAH. It's like, a whole new miracle for me just for that day.

It's so sad to see people walk with their heads down... I always look up, there's so much more to see, until I accidentally kick a dog.

That's an awesome pic of a tornado, Chibs. o_o

I was thinking about this the other day. I just can't remember where this Scripture is, but it says something to the effect that "clouds are a footstool to God." It might be a Psalm.

I think clouds remind us of how awesome and unimaginably big our God is. ^________^

Ooooooo! Pwetty! I especially love the one with the line of trees and then the sky. Very nice job, Chibs!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

clouds are like designs in the sky. who would like a sky that's plain blue? it's good that they haven't dissappeared since the birth of Adam.
