Favorite Job on RPGs

For example, do you like knights, archers, etc?

I like monks overall. Rogues are too weak. ;;>>

Uh...
In what game?

FFT, FFTA, FF V, FF X-2, Disgaea, Fire Emblem, or something else....?
At any rate, I've always liked ninja and samurai whenever they have appeared.

Well, yeah.

But different games have different jobs. And, a particular job doesn't always work the same in different games.

But, I'll stick by my previous choice of ninjas and samurai.

If possible, Paladin.

Only exception to this is Amazon in Diablo 2. I studied that class WAY too much to not use it.

Disgaea: Angel, they have great weapon stats and magic stats.
FFT: Holy Knight, strong attacks and they take away an opponents weapon or armor
Those are the only ones I can think of right now.

In my online game I play... I like rogues but I also like monks cause they use martial arts.. so I actually used to have a Grandmaster Rogue/Monk but the game company did a server wipe of all unregistered characters an dI lost him *moourns* I am starting over as a monk and I am going to get a sub class of rogue... yay!!
The Straight and Narrow

I chose to walk the straight and narrow road, but one day I lost balance and fell off it. I had fallen onto some sharp rocks and injured myself. There were people passing by who would merely stare at me, and then keep walking. Thoughts of worthlessness entered into my mind, and as I chose to believe the lies, my wounds grew worse. I was so overcome with grief that I nearly gave up... but then a man walked up to me and stopped. Without saying a word, he started to wrap my wounds, he gave me some water, and then lifted me up and embraced me. He then whispered these words into my ear, "I love you my child." As he said those words I could feel all the worthlessness and despair fall away. He then held out his hands. They had huge holes in them. He then said, "Walk with me." I then took his hand and we walked together. Every now and then I would fall from the road, but no matter where I fell, he was always there to pick me up and tell me that He loved me.

Depends on the RPG, but I would generally go with Red Mages. They can wield many of the same weapons as Fighters, while using White and Black magic at the same time. In general, they can pretty much do a bit of everything, making them one of the more well rounded classes.

Dragoons were a good class in FFV and Kain was pretty cool in FFIV.

I had one in FFT but he didn't amount to much for some reason...

For Tactics, the Ninja rules all. Especially if it has the Equip Armor ability. :D

For D&D, I like sorcerers. Granted, they don't learn spells as fast as wizards, and they only know a certain number (as opposed to wizards who can learn as many spells as they can write in their book). However, sorcerers get more casts per day and can cast on the fly, much preferred to memorizing spells for me. I also like paladins, fun to play and they get awesome abilities. Especially if you use the "Warriors of the Faith" sourcebook and get the feat that allows you to trade in your Turn Dead attempts for extra Smite Evil attempts.

I tend to favor heavy melee classes in almost every RPG that I play; so usually I choose the Warrior/Fighter/Barbarian class. I also like hybrid classes such as Rogues, Hunters (in World of Warcraft), and Paladins.

Occasionally I will play ranged fighters (Archers, Rangers, etc.), but I prefer the tanks.

The equivalent of a magic user is my choice (since not all RPGs have 'mages' but they do have the particular 'mage-type guy' in the form of the Force or psionic powers, or whatever they decide to make the 'magic' equivalent).

Lancers? Like Dragoons? (In a FFT sort of way). Or such as Freya and Cid from FFIX and FFVII.

I generally lean towards highly mobile units, when I have the choice. Ninja's or decent units that can fly. In some battles, if you have speed, it doesnt matter how powerful your oponent is. ^_^

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
