Feel awful

Postby Joshua Christopher » Mon May 23, 2005 7:18 pm

I feel totally horrible right now, more than I can describe in words.

Some of my closer online friends probably know this; you see I don't have many friends. In fact, only two. Last year Lee moved to Orlando, and just a few minutes I go I found out that my only other friend, Christopher, is going to be moving to another part of the state.

So, I don't really know, just pray for me, I guess.

Whatever.

NO! This is terrible. Unfortunately, the satellite that I have in geosyncrinous orbit over your home does not give me any information on what methods of cheering up I could use. I could smother you with my undying love and affection; I could not mention it and just be nicer to you than normal; or I could distract you with crazy antics.
Hmmm... Well, I guess I could just pray for you and give you this picture of my favorite Non-bishie male character (Pretty Face manga). He looks exceptionally nice in this picture, because usually he has a weirdo perverted grin on his face and you can't see his eyes because of his glasses. But he is not a Bishie. I hope you like it and it cheers you up a bit.
 :) Hugs and Smiles for everyone, especially you, my dear Josh. :)

I know that can be really tough. I'll pray for you. The same thing happened over and over again to my son and it's really hard to go through. I'm sorry you feel so awful.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

You don't need to say anything. Silence is good too- people often underestimate the power and usefulness of blank posts. Just remember that you are loved and appreciated here- and most of all, you are loved with an everlasting love by the Creator of the Universe. Smiles for Everyone- especially you. :P

Just remember that the most important thing is not your circumstances, but how you react to them.

Most of the time we cannot control the situations in which we find ourselves; however, we can control our response to those situations. It is the response (not the circumstances) that are the true measure of character.

I've discovered that peace and true joy are attained during the worst circumstances of life. Seems to me that you two are in the midst of maturing as Christians and you have my support in prayers.

I want to join the "Life sucks and it's not getting any better" club.

P.S. Anytime I'm on AIM (which will hopefully be more often) give me a holler. I'll talk about anything...or just listen.

Who wants to join my club? It's called the "Life Sucks but I Know That it Will Get Better and in the Meantime I'll Press On Anyway" Club. Recruiting begins now :) .

This may sound insensitive, but the best way to overcome pain is to deal with it. Even if it isn't from God, you can trust that God will use to produce some good in your life. Is it so far-fetched to believe that God might use you to solve your own problems? How will you know if you don't try to make things better for yourself?

Holy crap! I totally understand how you feel! I've had several close friends move away. This summer one of my closest friends and sister in Christ is moving to North Carolina. I'm going to miss her dearly. I'll pray for you - I'm sure God will provide strength for you in this hard time. Just have faith, that's all you need.

Hey, you live Florida, and I live in Georgia. Maybe I could come down and be your friend, my overlord. :)
I mean, it would only be like a six hour drive everyday, but that's no biggy.

I know what's like to lose friends. I've had to move around many times and make new friends. The worst time, however, was when my best friend moved away. A couple of years later he was in a car wreck and... didn't make it. I was depressed, to say the least, but I've learned to move on while remembering and honoring him in the things that I do. As it ended up, he had become an incredible witness to many of the students at his school and several came to Christ.

Well, that's probably not going to cheer you up any. But I suppose what I'm trying to get at it is saying you should keep close to your friends, even if they're on the other side of the world. Don't forget them, and they may not seem as far away as you think.

Hey, hey, hey. Watch it. I call Josh-sama 'my evil overlord'. I don't want it to catch on or anything. That said, I will invent way to give hugs over the internet. With the royalities, I will promptly fly to Florida and buy a house near Josh-sama.

Again, I'd like to thank everyone, including my stalkers, for being so friendly to me.

I have to explain, as hard as it is to lose my two best friends, it's even harder since they're really my only friends. I don't see or talk to any other people, and Lee has been gone for almost a year already. Kristofe and I went up and stayed with Lee for MegaCon a few months back, and we plan on going to visit him in a month or so.

Thank you all very much. My AIM is vortekks. : )

Eh... sorry if that sounded too flippant.

I'm just... not real experienced in what you've described, so I couldn't offer any real advice (except not to let stalkers git ya).

Since I was a kid, I haven't had many geographically close friends. Generally my close friends have been either family members or people who already lived long-distance. So I haven't experienced them moving away.

Sorry. :(
