"When Everything Falls" - Haste the Day

Locke wrote:Crazy hardcore? heck yes i know those guys.

Actually...I wouldn't consider The Showdown crazy hardcore really. They are waaaayyyyy more heavy metal then hardcore. Maybe Hard Metalcore. But not hardcore. Hardcore is like Armstrong and Figure Four and stuff.

Some songs sound hardcorish now that i think about but the band is basically metal. The song "A Momument Encased in Ashes" sounds like Melodic Heavy metal mix with hardcore and Melodic Death Metal with Metalcore breakdowns. :lol Regardless of thier genre, they do rock.

That sounds like a pretty good description, sort of. To me, they're like a..a candy. Heavy metal with a gooey hardcore breakdown center, then deep fried in Southern rock. Mmmm. Southern rock. No, but really, the Showdown is like heavy metal with a lot of chugga chugga breakdowns and guitar solos and some southern rock mixed in. I love that band..

Mortal has a song by the same title. I wonder, did Becoming cover it? I need to compare the lyrics.

He wants them to learn to walk and must therefore take away His hand; and if only the will to walk is really there, He is pleased even with their stumbles.

Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls
once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning
bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love
without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's
my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.
Every New Day - On Distant Shores - Five Iron Frenzy

Nail pierced hands they run with blood
A splitting brow forced by the thorns
His face is writhing with the pain yet it's comforting to me

I love that song. That whole CD is good, but Pearl is one of the standouts.

Agreed. I think it's stupid that so many hate thier new c.d. just cause it's a change from Undeicieved or Burial.
