I'm not terribly worried about the predicted high price of the PS3. Before the PSP was launched, analysts said that it could cost any less than $400, but it ended up costing half that (not couting the $50 of extras in the value pack). I'm sure that the PS3 will launch with a similarly competitive price.
As of now, I plan on buying both the Xbox 360 and the PS3. The Revolution is my third priority (friends will probably get it if I don't). I will get the Xbox 360, since it is the first of the new systems being released and I don't feel like waiting for the next generation of gaming (call it the "Dreamcast syndrome"
). The PS3 looks awesome. I also own a PSP, so I am looked forward to see how the wireless connectivity between the two systems will be used (hopefully more fruitfully than the GC and GBA linkage
).
