Square-Enix newness/ E3

Fantastical news about all things Square-Enix coming from E3

Final Fantasy Crystal Cronicles for Nintendo Revolution
The Nintendo press conference just came to a close, bearing with it several new announcements, one of which was the confirmation that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is under development for Nintendo's next-gen Revolution console. It's unknown whether the previous DS FFCC project has been moved to Revolution, or whether there are now two new games underway.

Final Fantasy XII
Thank you thank you thank you... it's about time we had some word on this project... or at least some screenshots: http://www.square-haven.com/gallery.cgi?dir=/games/ps2/ffxii/media/050516-screens

Final Fantasy VII Tech Demo for PS3
If you haven't seen it yet, go to gametrailers.com and watch it. Then, after the renewed sense of nostalgia and wonderment wears off, join the rest of the world in speculation over whether or not their re-making the game.

Final Fantasy XI
Yay. The PC/ PS2 game that sucked 6 months of my life away is coming to Xbox Live. Whoopie for... someone, I'm sure...

World of Mana
Taken from a translation from a French press release, I believe...
"From ages past to ages yet to come, the tale of the Mana tree and the Sword of Mana grows with each telling. New installments in the World of Mana series exploring the history of this fantastic world are on the horizon. Stories yet untold await in the World of Mana."
Yay for Seiken!

Kingdom Hearts 2
In addition to new screens: http://www.square-haven.com/gallery.cgi?dir=games/ps2/kh2/media/050516-screens we have the news that Johnny Depp will be in the game... Yes, that's right, Capt. Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise will be in KH2. Does this mean that there will be a Pirates world Sora and pals travel to? Does this mean the Depp himself will voice his character in the game? Does this mean we're out of animated Disney franchises to exploit? Time will tell....

Compilation of FFVII
New screens abound for Dirge of Cerberus, Advent Children, and the like are floating about, but I'll let someone else comment on those...

*squeals at the FFXII screenshots* THE MOOGLES! <3 Oh my goodness, they're adorable! x3 I love how they look! Eeeee~!

Anyways. >_> *had caffine* I'm glad Square-Enix is finally dropping more hints about their latest projects. I remember seeing a Dirge of Cerberus scan in another thread - and all I have to say is I WANT that game. o_o;

EDIT: Forgot to mention the news on KH2 - any further opinions from me would probably be issued in the form of fangirl squealing however, so I'll kindly omit those.

Any release dated mentioned? They really shouldn`t announce it so soon because they make me wait. How about Dragon Quest VIII? Anyone know how good that is?

Release dates:
FF: Advent Children ~ Sept 13th U.S.
FF XII ~ March 31, 2006 (yikes.....)

And as far as DQ VIII goes... it broke sales records in japan (previously set by FFX)... so, yeah : http://www.square-haven.com/gallery.cgi?dir=games/ps2/dq8/media/050516-screens have some screens...

The AnanadTech PS3 article already says that they have no plans for remaking FFVII.

So I`m guessing Dirge Of Cerebus doesn`t have a July 2005 release date.....er.......

And how about Kingdom Heart 2?

Lost Odyssey makes me wonder... that mini-trailer at the 360 press event wasn't all that impressive... but where Sakaguchi, and moreso, Uematsu go, I'm fairly certain we'll have to follow...

I'm thinking good things. Perhaps they're completely remaking the game to get rid of the rumored AI partner/real time battle system. That would be nice.

Other than that, KH2 WOO!

Oh yeah, and Advent Children.
