so does anyone think its ok to casually makout with your friend(of the opposite sex of course.)?

I actually don't think that would be allright. Being a Christian, there are guidelines to follow about friendship, dating, and courtship (working towards marriage). I think friends, even close ones of the opposite sex, shouldn't have any romantic physical contact, if they were just to remain friends.

no, but sometimes emotions get tangled up in close friendships~ feelings of care should be expressed in different ways. Making out is something reserved for a much closer physical relationship like courting or marriage.

Affection is an extention of love. Physical intimacy is an expression of love. The bible is clear on this one. eros (of the four loves, eros is erotic love) in the context of Christianity is an extention of a couple's love. The whole monogamy thing that Christianity supports kinda discourages this.
