Hmm... I might get in trouble if I tell you guys what I'm gonna get MY special someone for Christmas. That wouldn't do at all... As for what I'm getting myself, well... I'll probably get FFX-II for myself for my b-day, but I don't know what I'm doing for myself for Christmas. I'm most certainly NOT getting FF-XI. BLEAAAA!

Well, I can't really afford to give myself any presents, but I know what I'm getting from my family. We're very open about this sort of thing.

1) Subscription to Shonen Jump
2) CAA Shirt
3) unenumerated item with a high sugar content

Um... I know what I want my parents to get me, I allready asked... A PS2.

Is DDR on PS2? Ok, here's the list:

DDR Basic (PS1)
DDR Konamix (PS1)
DDR Disney Mix (PS1)
DDR Max (PS2)
DDR Max 2 (PS2)

the basic pad is really cheap in both quality and price... It'll last no more than a few months under normal play from what I've heard... You can buy those for like 25 dollars. It'll probably be cheaper than going to the arcade, though... So if you look at it that way, it will pay for itself in what it saves you at the arcade (I say this because I go to the arcade whenever I have 5 dollars to spare...)

Each better pad is more and more money. The best (and therefore most expensive) pad is the Cobalt Flux arcade style pad. It'll survive for a long time but it's over 300 dollars... Or you can get 2 for like 575... That's a lot of money, but serious DDR freaks would go for that if they can't quite afford the 5500 dollars for an arcade machine (which I will own SOMEDAY like maybe in 10 years or something... By that point, they'll have something even better (no, that something is NOT ppp or any other bemani type game out currently... the five direction diagonal machines are ok but not quite worth screwing up my current footwork on the UDLR dances...))

Well, let's see...for me, I'm just gonna see if I can't get someone to give me some manga...I'll decide on the title later...^^ LOL

For my sister, I'm working on a special project...he he...but otherwise (since I doubt she's gonna read this thread...;)) I'm gonna probably look and see if I can't find a Trigun soundtrack for a decent price since once she mentioned liking it to me. Or maybe a GBA game; that would be good. Heck, I dunno. :P LOL

Here's the stuff I'm fairly shure I'll get. I like to not know what I'm getting for Christmas - just into surprises.

Cowboy Bebop the Movie DVD
manga (various) (Graphic Novel format)

>_<; I know there's more than this! My list is at home which is too far from me right now. The manga would rack up some bucks though.

I want: a good digital camera, to photograph my art.

I want inexpensive stuff, see?

I will give Oldphil: HA! No way I'm telling! :P

I'm getting some of the t-shirts with my designs on them for my mom and some cousins, and a couple friends.

I'm not totally sure yet but my wish list is going to be:

Video Games:FF X-2 - I'll probably just buy this myself.
Gba games - Some pretty cool ones are coming out(Mario & Luigi, Sword of Mana,Fire Emblem)
Star Wars:Knights of the Old Republic(PC) - looks neat-might buy it myself
Something else - There are other games I'm interested in I could ask for.

Manga:There are several titles I'm interested in.
Shonen Jump maybe.

Anime:I'm not sure yet. I might ask for the Trigun box set.

Some of those can probably be covered by my birthday which is in November.

I want what I want every Christmas - to see my kids have a great time and enjoy being together. :) I look forward to seeing family and giving gifts to friends. Personally, I have materially everything I would ever need for three life times. However, there is this cool screenplay program I've been looking at which would make writing scripts a lot easier. I might ask for that. Other than that, I'd have to think real hard. :stressed: I hope my husband and kids get what they want. I'm sure they will. :)

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I am so very elated to say that I will be getting everything on my Christmas wishlist this year - (probably because there was only one thing)
All I want for Christmas is for my boyfriend to come home. He joined the air force, recently - shipped out in September. I didn't think I'd miss him this much, but I do. He's funny and sweet and always optimistic - and he's coming home for Christmas! Oh, I am so happy. It will be such a nice Christmas, just having him here.
Not many people know this, but I happen to be famous.

Each year both Jim's and my family makes us give them a specific list of things we want for Christmas...and they usually get us exactly what we specify. Since we are on such a tight budget, we usually ask for DVDs (we hardly ever buy them for ouselves) or things that we need that we just never get around to buying. This year:

bedsheets
American flag to put outside our house
towels
LOTR Two Towers Extended DVD
Raiders of the Lost Ark DVD set

and hopefully we'll receive some gift cards to Circuit City so we can save up for a digital camera.

Each year Jim and I have kind of a 'traditional' set of gifts we give each other. I give him a DVD that he wants, box of Gobstoppers and a big book of L.A. Times crosswords, and he gives me a DVD that I want and a sweatshirt.
Now we have Jessica and to be honest I have no idea what to buy a 2-month old for Christmas.

Actually...what I really want is to be able to go to Arizona this Christmas to visit a friend of mine that I haven't seen in 5 years..hopefully things will work out this year.
In Christ,

Turbo =^.^=

Hmm..Well, I'd really love a new motherboard (given the amount of number crunching my new project is likely to entail), but that's another issue.

I'll say:
Gjallarhorn's new album "Grimborg"
Vasen's "Whirled", or may be some Ranarim or Frifrot
Broken Sword II (or three if it's out in time, which I don't think it will be)
Some shirts and stuff.
Some bottles of my brother's fruit wines.

I'm not sure what I'll be getting everyone yet. I have four siblings plus my parents, and I need to get something for my godparents too, and my niece. I'm glad I'm getting a raise.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

oooo Got that last week (had pre-ordered it at Suncoast on an impulse a few months ago)... haven't had a chance to watch more than "Raider's" though.

I guess I should post my wish-list (most of which I'll not get, or have to get myself)

Deus Ex 2 (I'll most likely get this when it comes out as an early Christmas present to myself, how selfish of me  )

Manga, not sure what... maybe some more of OnePiece

Bangsite Cannon - but I doubt I'll get this... $60 item, and it would have to be ordered and shipped here, they're made in Pennsylvania where I grew up.

Gosh, I got a few ideas, but I know I'm not getting much this year (if anything). My Niece is going to get the bulk of the presents (as is only right)... and I'm getting my Mom's boyfriend's old truck so that I have a way to get to whatever new job I get in a few weeks (as my current chip delivery job is about to expire).

Heck, I'll be a pig in slop if my Mom makes any of her normal holiday bakery stuff this year (doubt she will though).

I'm getting definately 4 and most likely 5 things on my wishlist this year! ^_^

My friend came over and I said "What do you want for Christmas" he didn't answer the question, but he said I'm not gonna be able to do as much for gifts this year, I'm giving gifts to only 4 people" and one of those people is me. I asked him how much money he could spend per person, he said "80 dollars" so I said "7,8,9,10"

That, of course, means "Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, and 10" and he said "Man, I wish my other friends were this easy to shop for... I try to ask them what they want, and they're like 'No, I can't... I don't have anything I want...'"

So, I'll be getting 4 FF games and, hopefully, a PS2 to play them all on... Alas, my poor PS1 is dying... My controller port is screwing up, shutting off and turning on at random... It's time to end its misery... It's had a long, productive life...

No worries, if you buy your pad at EBGames, they have a special deal that's saved us a lot of money: Buy a basic pad for $20 and purchase a warranty for another $3. When the pad breaks, you can bring it in and they'll give you a new pad for free. Give them another $3 for a warranty on this pad, and so on and so forth. It's really an awesome deal, and they're happy to do it! ^_^

Your pad will last a lot longer if you mount it on a sturdy sheet of plywood. We just slide ours under the couch for storage. NEVER fold the pad, or it'll wear out in a heartbeat! ^^
