What screen resolution do you have your monitor set?

Postby kodachrome64 » Wed Apr 20, 2005 3:24 pm

Just curious to know the resolution you guys have your desktops set at right now. I have mine set at 1024 x 768 (100hz) which is easier on the eyes, but I do a lot of my photo-work at 1600 x 1200 (85hz) (which is a lot of room to work around with). I have a 21 inch Dell monitor.

EDIT: Also, what type of monitor do you have and (if possible) the refresh rate?

1024x768. it'll go higher, but my monitor is too small to really be able to see anything at higher resolutions...

I have two monitors on this machine (both 20" flat panels). They are set to 1680 x 1050.

1024x768. Everything else strains my eyes. I don't do enough detailed graphics to bump up to 1280x1024

1024x768, I think that's as high as the monitor will go. I know it does 800x600, but it looks really bad like that.

You know, I forgot to ask how big of a monitor you guys have since it does make a difference with the resolution you set. A 15'' monitor @ 1024x768 will differ from a monitor that's 21'' at the same resolution (with the different refresh rates and all).

1024x768. I always get a kick out of this... I have a Dell XPS Gamin' Rig and only a 15' moniter. A decent size monitor just costs to much for me and I really don't need a new one. Not to mention, I have very limited desk space. And, no, I'm not getting an LCD screen, they still have stinky refresh rates for shooters. That "ghosting" or whatever it's call, hurts the eyes.

1024 x 768. When I get a 19" monitor, I'll probably go 1280 x 1024 (this card is capable of a lot higher, but it's hard to read on my 17").

1024x768 on a 17" crt and 14.2" laptop lcd. The other two I usually use in console mode, so 80x24 ((characters)x(lines)).

800x600 at 60 hz for my laptop. It's a Dell Latitude CPi from 2001 and was built for Win98. It's probably a 15" lcd screen.

On my dad's computer (my other computer XD) it's 1024x768 on a 17" at like 70 hz I think.

17" or 19" I'm not quite sure but i kow it's one of those.

I'm looking at going 1280x1024 once I go for the 17" LCD next year.

1280 x 1024 x 60Hz. 17 inch LCD. Yeah, it's a small monitor for that resolution, but I really need the space. I really need a new monitor, T_T.
