a poem

what would the world be like without
an uncertain certainty
like knowledge of
our own ignorance?

smaller than a grain of sand and
worth more than the words
that flow forth so easily,
I can't seem to figure out
what to say...

perhaps one day I will open my eyes
and realize this wasn't merely an
illusion
echoing around inside
my mind

have I made the right choices?

in my relationship with
God,
Family,
Friends that

I never really understood

the impact of a hug
a handshake,
a smile in the late afternoon moments
where anything can happen-

I can really relate. I'm always afraid of making a wrong decision, and suddenly the little things seem so very important. I was afraid of missing all the little things that happened around my house, missing out on spending a vacation with my family, that I decided not to go to Florida. ^^ I hope to see more of your poetry.
