Well even with the heat and things involved with summer I am waiting to attend The Maryland State Firemens Convention in June in Ocean City, MD.
The Firehouse Expo in July followed by Otakon in Aug in Baltimore City.
There is not much more I can think of for summer at this time.

Yeah I'll be getting a second job probably. But at least I have a car this summer and will be going on an actual vacation which is a big step up from last year.

summer in FLorida is Horrible.

It's 100 degrees everyday, and it thunderstorms and rains like crazy starting at 4pm EVERY DAY.

We'll let me just say Texas isn't =better when it comes to the heat...

But yeah, can't wait until summer. Though what kind of sucks is that I'm taking a few summer classes to play credit catch-up to become a junior. At least it'll only be 1 or 2 classes instead of going hardcore.... So I will be able to get some relaxing time :)

Can I just say we had a blizzard here today in lovely Northern oHIo? Near white-out conditions. After a winter with record snowfall, I am looking forward to warmer weather, too.

I actually usually perfer slightly cooler weather, like in the 50-60 degree range, but that is partly because I am currently living in a dorm that has no air conditioning; my room is much more comfortable during cold weather than in warm weather. However, it will be nice to have a break from schoolwork for a while.

usually, being in the plains desert in Wyoming, we get nasty dry heat all summer. i'm one of those perpetually pasty people (bwahaha i made an alliteration XD. sorry, i apologize for my randomness) who burn, and not just from the sun. oh, no, i burn even if i'm in the shade and covered in sunscreen if it's even halfway hot out.

however, this summer, i'm working at a state park as a waitress, in the semi-mountains of western South Dakota, so i should stay pretty cool. and i'm looking forward to working, should be fun. i also get to stay in employee dorms 5 days a week. so that should be good too.

I can't wait to be out of school just so I don't have to do any more biology. Or French. Or Geometry. Or anything, ha ha. I'm sick of studying all the time, especially for biology, and all I have to do in biology is turn in two more tests, finish cutting up Pumba (my lovely little fetal pig *blah*), and then I'm out of there!

Plus this summer I'm leaving the country for the first time in my life, so I have some nice stuff to look forward to! (Sadly that means I have to get I job to pay for it, but it'll be worth it! :P)

I'm ready for summer to come. I'm completely burned out with the whole academics thing. ONLY THREE MORE WEEKSSS!!!!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.
