I didn't have any discomfort post-braces. Really don't worry about it.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

FoCL <-falls off chair laughing.

(Serious again) Don't worry, I'll pray for you too. I've had trouble with the dentist -I had two horrible molars at the back and top of my mouth which were terribly sensitive, but I prayed a lot before going to the Dentist, and God has helped me with that, and with many other things. I love the way God cares even about the little things, so as I said before, I'll pray for you.

I'll remember your unspoken requests, as well as your teeth. (Did that sound funny?) Anyway, yeah, braces were never fun. How did you celebrate? Since I never got to eat Starburst while I had my braces, I went immediately after I got them removed and ate a pack of Starburst. *sigh* The joys of youth...

(Oh, and that whole post about the glowing retainer was pretty funny!)

hehe, i scared my friends with my retainer thing at school today, got a flashlight, stuck it in my mouth [since they have to be exposed to light to glow, common knowledge] then i told them to walk into tthe classroom when the lights were off, they walked in i opened my mouth up and tilted my chin back [looked kinda stupid actually XD] and then they saw this glowing thing everywhere. It was funny, anyways, i snuck by some bubblegum when i had braces, i shewed quite a bit actaully and i managed to never have any problems, but i didn't chew it very long just so i could prevent something from happening. I am getting used to these retainers now, but it is bad timing for them to start settling in, i have to give a 15 minutes oral report when i get back to school >.< well thats all, thanks everyone for praying ^_^
