Rule of thumb for peppers, generaly the smaller the pepper in its origanal form (not cut up) the spicier it is. So don't fear those big red or green ones. Watch out for the teensy ones. I remember at my friends house we grew a whole bunch of that hottest type in the world kind. We would eat as many as we could at one time. It was really spicy.
