Very frustrating day. Stupid wireless card won't work, and it looks like i will have to take it back and get another[unless someone can answer my post over in the tech department].

But after i let that drain away, today has been good. Setup my blog, read a bunch of others and visited with my bro and cuz. and ate good food-homemade lasagna and icecream sandwiches. yeah! now to do some surfing and then to bed.

My son and I went to Patriot's Point down near Charleston, SC today. Patriot's Point is a maritime museum where a number of navel vessels are docked including the USS Yorktown and the destroyer USS Laffey. On April 16, 1945, the Laffey was targeted by a squadron of Japanese aircraft off of Okinawa. It was recorded as the worst kamikaze attack of WWII. 22 planes attempted to hit the ship. 8 succeeded. 32 men lost their lives during the morning attack. Heavily damaged the ship was still able to makes it's way back for repairs in Seattle, WA. Today marked the 60th anniversary of that attack. My father served aboard the Laffey on that day but was unable to attend the observance so we had the honor of representing him there.
