Request for dying little boy and my sick mother

Postby Rogie » Wed Apr 13, 2005 4:46 pm

Hey, guys, I have a couple of prayer requests. First, my friend asked me to request prayer for a little boy (around 7 years old, I think) who is dying. The doctors are not sure if he has cancer or not, but he is dying regardless of whether he has it. Please pray for this little boy, whose name is Logan, and for his family.

Also, please pray for my mom, who has been sick for about a week now. She's been having bad stomach and back pains, vomiting, rare bowel movements, and she can't hardly eat anything. She says that it's gas and is similar to the intestinal spasms she had when she was about my age (and I had the same thing earlier this year). I hope that that's all it is and that she's okay, but since she refuses to go to the doctor yet, we can't really be sure. We would appreciate your prayers.

Thanks, everyone, and I love y'all. :)

I believe children under thirteen go to heaven regardless, but I don't want to start a debate.
I'll pray for both of your causes, Rogie-san.
Think happy thoughts.

Actually, I know nothing about the boy or his family, since this is a request that my friend wanted me to post. But because he is so young, I would think that he would indeed go to Heaven. I guess it depends upon when he actually understands the difference between right and wrong and understands the whole concept of life and death and the hereafter.

But I agree, let us have no debate about this, as this should only be for prayer for this boy and my mom. Thanks!

Well put, old bean! That is the main reason for this forum in the first place. I will pray for the boy.

I'll keep your mom in my prayers. Does she have an appointment to see a doctor yet?

Regardless of the age of accountablility, I will pray that this little boy will have the priviledge of seeing Jesus in whatever time he has been given. I encourasge everyone to pray that, should God permit it, that he might heal the child. I have a friend who was told she wouldn't live to be sixteen, and she's twenty right now.

Pray big.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

No, she still plans to not see the doctor. She is eating now, however (albeit chicken noodle soup and orange sodas), and she says that she's feeling better. Please continue praying for her.

Also, my friend is really happy that y'all are praying for Logan. I'll keep you updated on his status as my friend gives me updates. :thumb:
