Perhaps you are thinking of the word 'anbu'? That's what it means in Naruto.

[i]Two vast and trunk-less legs of stone stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, half sunk, a shattered visage lies. Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare the lone and level sands stretch far away. On the pedestal these words are inscribed:

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€

I found reason 3 to be rather amusing/acurate of the students I know.
But I dont know about some of the other stuff. Even though its supposed to be a joke, I can see how it could easily be offensive.

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Justifiably so; this "joke" seems to be a fusion of idiocy, anachronism, and casting stones while living in a glass house on every level (i.e. I would say that learning kanji and learning English pronounciation and spelling are equal opposites, stating that nothing is funnier to a Japanese person than some Gaijin trying to speak their language while mocking their efforts at speaking English, and all too many things).
