My friend died. He was 19 and had muscular dystrophy. Recently he had gotten a tracheotomy, and seemed to be doing well, but one of his arteries was abnormally close to it and ruptured. He was ready, but his family wasn't.
They modified their entire house to fit his needs, so there will be constant reminders. Also, his father is bipolar, so we hope this doesn't complicate things. His parents will also find themselves with lots of free time, which probably won't help. Please pray that this won't become something that tears people apart.

Thank you, everyone, for praying. His parents have been coming to church more (they often couldn't make it previously), but I haven't gotten a chance to talk to them recently, so I am not sure how they are doing. Please keep praying!

That is so sad. I can't even imagine loosing a friend that age. I'll be praying for everyone involved.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. I know exactly how it feels to lose a close friend. It hurts people close to the person or people who just know them in passing.
