Ah, thinking of new names is such a fine pastime - thanks for starting our creative, name-crafting brain cells working, Volt. ß-)

As for myself, I'd thought of "Tycho Victor Cerebrus". Kinda geeky? I pitched it to my mom but she didn't go for it. Actually it was good my mom had a hand in choosing my name or my dad would have picked something really, uh, creative.

I don't think I'd change it, really. I like the name Nick and I'm sticking with it.

(As for my CAA handle, though, I'd change it if I could...I only realized later that "Godly Paladin" sounds a bit full of myself. As if I could ever be truly "Godly".)

Cocoa Jamocha:

1) Because it reminds me of the love of my life-- Chocolate.

2) Because the way to a man's heart is through his stomache. With that said, I think if my name were Cocoa Jamocha, men would fall in love with me just by seeing my name in the phone book (Which would be okay after me and chocolate break up.)

3) Because I'm at an age where my peer would no longer tease me for having a funny name. With that said, if my name were Cocoa Jamocha, my children would instead be teased for their mom having such a funny name. And when they came home, crying because everyone has called them "That kid whose mom's name sounds like a candy bar", I could comfort them, and I think it would be a real bonding experience.

:P

But, if Cocoa falls through, I'd just go with Ellison R. London, because that's a name that would look respectable on the cover of a book.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I think Nicholas is a beautiful name...
Which reminds me. We recently studied Russia in Social Studies (technically we we studying Eurasia) and I thought the family of Czar Nicholas Romanov II had beautiful names. Maria, Tatiana, Anastacia, Alexandra, Nicholas, and Olga Romanov. Well, maybe not Olga. No offence to people named Olga.
Maybe I'd be...I dunno. When I was little, I wished my name were Amy for some reason. Now, I don't mind "Lauren". Maybe I could be "Angel" like my user name.
...My mom...wanted to call me..."Tess"...
Think happy thoughts.

I'm happy with my current name so I wouldn't change it. But if I did, I'm not sure what it would be. Something in honor of Japan or an anime/anime character.

1) I fell sorry for the guy who tries to win you heart.

2) As a man I resent the implication that I can be controled by my stoma-what was that about chocolate and stomachs

3) a)No offense but Cocoa is a funny name for a girl. b)I find that amusing, cool, noble, and somewhat unerving all at once.

4) Ellison is cool the R is neat, however the London thing I'll have to think on.

As for me I like Kenshin. Or mabye Anikan. I'll go with Anikan mabye then I'll get Natalie Portman to chase after me

No I would want something like Kenshin. A warriors name. However I am happy with my current name which does mean "Mighty Warrior".

im pretty content with my name. however, sometimes i think it'd be great to have the name eric or alex(ander). those names are great, i like em alot. if im not brave enough to name my kids (if i ever have any) any cool names from videogames or anime, ill definately give em those names. my friend celia got married awhile ago, and shes expecting her 1st kid in a couple months, and shes gonna name it emma rei (rei, from EVA, obviously). thats freakin awesome.
