Just a note, I just deleted your thread on the general board. It is really annoying to make another copy of your thread on a different board to get more attention for it. If it happens again, strikes will be awarded. Do not trash out CAA with posts all over the place. We have boards for a reason.

Now, to answer your question.

Road Rash Jailbreak for the PS1
Metal Gear Solid for the PS1
Metal Gear Sons of Liberty for the PS2
Metal Gear Snake Eater for the PS2
Final Fantasy 7 for the PS1
Final Fantasy 8 for the PS1
Final Fantasy 9 for the PS1
Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS1
Final Fantasy 10 for the PS2
Armored Core 2 for the PS2
Mercenaries for the PS2
Punisher for the PS2

Thats a decent list...

Brave Fencer Musashi (PS1) was fun from the demo, but I never finished it. Spyro (ps1) is also supposed to be much fun.
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, Jak III for PS2 are all fantastically fun games. And the Ratchet and Clank series is worth a turn too.

If you're into fighting games, I'd go for Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Soul Caliber II, and Guilty Gear Isuka. I'd also reccomend Grandia II in the way of RPGs, but the religious content may seem offensive to you, so I'd check out the thread on it to clear up any questions you have.

I guess to each their own. But I must say personally KD is THE best PS2 game I played since, well, since a few years (yes, even better than my love for Silent Hill, and that's saying a lot). And it is the second game ever that I actually got the whole soundtrack of. It's only $20 here and I guess battletech can borrow/rent it to try anyway.

It's cool but it's much harder because in some stages you have to fight more than one suit at a time. It does not look like you can dash with your thrusters straight toward the enemy .

What`s the joy of listening to 5 year Japanese kid sings the same thing over and over. And then buying the soundtrack to it?! Wow, you have opposite tste of me.

The gameplay is ok. The gameplays actually where the game shines. To save time here:

Story 3/10 : You collect huge balls of junk and turn them into a star because your freaky father destroyed them all. They made this game for its gameplay though. They actually didn`t mean to have a storyline. It shows.

Music -5/10: Above says everything.

Gameplay 9/10: Fun.

Graphics 4/10: The graphics would have better suited the Nintendo 64.

Ok all of that was my opinion. No offence to the people who likes it. It doesnt really matter what I think its what the thread starter thinks. Well, there`s my half-baked review of katamari damacy. How do I know all this stuff about it? My friend has it and I had to watch him beat three levels in a row....ugh..

Ah, sorry for turning this into a KD defend thread  My own review based on finishing the game and replaying the whole thing to unlock eternal levels and getting all the presents and objects. Which I'm STILL working on...

Story: 5/10. I give it a middle score because I personally loved HOW they handled the 'story'. When the game premise is like that, there really isn't need for a coherent storyline. Besides, anything the King says is hilarious XD Most quotable game I've played in a long time. ("Oh I feel it. I feel the cosmos.")

Music: I give it a 9/10 really. Most addictive theme, varying music (the 5-year old Japanese choir song is just ONE out of 20+) ranging from jazz, j-pop, to slight techno. They all sound different with wacky lyrics ("I want to wad you up into my life").

Gameplay: 10/10. Yes, perfect ten. No wonder KD won best nnovation and game design at the Game Developer Conference. I really can't imagine another way to play KD without using two analog sticks to roll things up.

Graphics: 8/10. The look works, it fits the theme perfectly. Although it looks much like something from a PS1 game, it really isn't. Once you realize how much tech is put into it and how the lines from objects are hardly jagged.

Overall: 9/10.

Katamari Damacy nearly wasn't marketed at all in the US, but apparently now it's become a sort of cult game XD

Fighting games for teh PS2: TEKKEN 5. Umm, another good one is... Tekken 5, and I also recommend the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.

Sorry, that one's an awesome game.

Haven't played any good shooters for the PS2. Red Faction was okay, although you smack the guy with a fusion rocket and he just kinda slowly careens over...

Red Faction 2 is definitely a no-go. I played it for the PC, I couldn't stand it.

RPGs is where Sony really shines. FF series is particularly goood. Baldur's Gate/D&D Heroes weren't as awesome as they should've been, IMO.

Soul Caliber 2 is good for the GC, but that's just because Link is so awesome. It wasn't as amazing for the PS2, and it was just plain sad for the XBox. If you're going to play this game, I strongly recommend doing so at an arcade.
Take it like you gave it; what else matters in the end? To be honest, it's all a one-shot test; that leaves plenty of places to go wrong, but how will you ever know? There's a pointer, I will admit. Turn it on, listen to it, feel it burn.

At-Close Paren-Right inclusive bracket-Tilde. Thanks to CAA mods. Taken from Jaden Mental's sig.

I would pick up or at least rent Soul Caliber II. If you like it, then you may like Soul Caliber III when it comes out later in the year.

Also, try getting Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner

Since you got the frist gundam game for the PS2. I would try Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeonic Front. I had it and it was IMO better then Gundam Journey To Jaburo. I haven't played it, but you also have Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space which is the last game for now for the PS2.

I have talk to a few people and they said its the better one out of the bunch of the action Gundam games.

There is another gundam that will be coming out soon, called Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam, but I don't have alot of info on this game.

We have found each other. I love that game so much, I have it for PSone as well as Laptop, so that I can play it where-ever I am.

DC2 was definately awesome.....

Another good one to try is Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Even if you aren't a Castlevania fan, it's worth checking out.

Best. CV. game. ever. (A little too easy though. The Final Boss can easily be killed in literally five seconds. o_O)
