When Kankuro is in bed, they talk something of a retired sibling. Whoose that?

I like Sasori but I wish we could of seen more of his attacks and whatnot.

As for the forbidden justu thing, I'm guesing Naruto has fianlly gotten control of the nine tails chakara. Notice what they say "Yeah, you have gotten stronger and all...but when you feel as through you're about to lose control, get a grip on yourself or you'll mess up. Becoming hot-headed too fast is your bad habit" (thats what my translation said).

So anyways....

I don't think so, though he doesn't go all-out with Kakashi, remember he and Sakura still had trouble dealing with him. Plus he's got "1000 jutsus" (or has enough variability to keep people on their toes) and the sharingan would only give him a new jutsu (Naruto's Rasengan/new jutsu) or two to counter with.

Yeah I was kind of surprised that they whipped through Konoha without showing us the other characters.

And for some reason, I thought that they were talking about Temari when they mentioned the retired sibling, but then I thought "wait, she's retired?". It hadn't even occurred to me that they were talking about someone else.

Why's Temari retired? That's odd.

I never knew how Kankuro would look like without his attire and face paint. Now I do.

I doubt Temari is the retired sibling. On the other hand, I'm super pleased to see her getting more involved. Now, they just need to add a little Shikamaru...hehe

I'm prepared for more betrayals to come forth but at the same time, I hope they don't discover any more moles/spies within the group I support.

Just like everyone says, the forbidden jutsu would seem to have something to do with the Fox spirit but no one really knows that for sure. <-- redundant comment *laughs*. Naruto must have undergone an intensive training of self-control, both his chakra and emotions. I think the only one Naruto really has to worry about is himself.

Question: Do Sakura and Naruto have the abilities to control the animal spirits who served Tsunade and Jiraiya (i.e. slug and frog)?

Yeah, that's what I meant. I didn't really think about Gaara having more siblings.

Naruto has had access to the frog (I do not like animal characters, so I refuse to learn his name) for a while, though not exactly reliably. Sakura we don't know about, but it could have happened in past years. To finish our parallel, we don't know about Sasuke, either.

I just read Chapter 252 which answered alot of questions. Such as concerning the siblings, Sakura's knowledge concerning Akatsuki, and how long they have to rescue Sasuke. I still want to see the other characters 2 years later.

The info was good, but I'm still waiting for it all to come together.

I have to say, though, that I thought the page with the parallel Gaara and Naruto panels was one of the most effective single manga pages I have ever seen.

I finally read this chapter; it appears this is going to become more difficult. Despite the fact that fairly little happened, I thought this was a decent chapter. I'm not terribly fond of the old siblings, but I'm curious about their grandson. Similarly, I thought the parallel was very well done.

I actually like seeing characters that belong to a different generation than Naruto's taking a significant role in the action, so I found the introduction of the siblings fairly interesting (even though there is nothing especially appealing about their personalities thus far).

In regard to their grandson, my though was that
The puppet master, Sasori, may be the one who is their grandson. It would make logical sense, considering the fact that he is from the Sand.
I don't think they are married cause they are siblings. I think Sasori may be the sisters grandson.

Interesting...

Although. I found the fact that Konohamaru and his friends are now genin slightly odd. How old was he originally? I thought he was seven or eight at the beginning of the Naruto manga. If so, they will have been younger than Naruto and the other eight when they graduated...

It appears those predictions were correct.

Regarding Konohamaru: many people graduate at different ages (Kakashi, for example). I don't think they're the type to graduate early (certainly worse than Sasuke), but perhaps it was done for the sake of the story.

It is good to see Gai's team again, though it will be more enjoyable to see them actually acting. But their appearance raises another question in my mind: how long will this saga go on? Gaara obviously wasn't on the level of the Akatsuki, so it is likely none of the others are (older generations, such as Kakashi or Gai, are currently unknown). Will the battles be resolved in this arc, or will there be further training?

I'm not sure, but I wonder if we will see others like Naruto and Gaara. Human vessals containing demon monsters...
That seems to be what the Akatsuki are after...

At any rate, now that we have seen Gai's team, we still need to see Asuma's team(aside from Shikamaru) and Kurenai's team.

I would think we would almost have to, or the Akatsuki purpose will be rather limited (plus, it seems that there are two Akatsuki for one target, and there is at least a third team, likely a fourth). Alternately, we could be completely wrong about their full objectives.

I sincerely doubt Shino will play a large role (given how he's been handled in the past), but I'm curious to see how his character has been developed. Hopefully he will have a significant fight this time.

At least Sakura was allowed to do something useful on her own that no one else could do. Finally! ^__^

Who's the White Fang of Konoha? Have we heard that term before? Was that Kakashi's dad? I don't remember...

Yes, during the Kakashi Gaiden, Yondaime explained to Obito about Kakashi's past.

I knew the whole thing about Kakashi's dad was explained, but I couldn't remember if that name referred to him or not. So...are the siblings about the age Kakashi's dad would have been? They seem older to me, but I guess that doesn't rule out a connection.

Is anyone else glad that we get to see Gai's team again? I'm glad that Kishimoto is bringing back these long-forgotten characters! (well... TenTen was forgotten).

I like Neji's new look as well, Aka-chan.

I believe that is the only thing he has been referred to by. Also, believe the siblings were upset that Kakashi's father killed someone related to them, but not necessarily in their generation (though my memory is not completely accurate on this detail).

What source are you using? One individual has had a version out since the 24th (high quality scan, I can't judge his translation). Of course, you might stick with yours if you particularly like the quality.

In my translation, I think she said something to the effect of "I will take revenge for my son" but my memory is cloudy right now in what she really said.

Maybe the reason Sasori is the way he is, is because of Kakshi's father.

And yes, seeing Gai's team was awesome.

I usually rely on Thienz's Naruto Scans as my source of Naruto scans. The quality of the scans are fine and they've been pretty on time...maybe a little slow on the last one. But I'm very happy and thankful to be able to finally read 243!

At least in appearance. Lee (or Tenten, but Lee especially) could both have radically different fighting styles.

Lee has adopted the Flower Style - he throws pretty flowers at his opponents.

And Tenten now uses silenced 9mm pistols.
