Jars of Clay: Redemption Songs

Anyone own JoC's latest album yet? I just got my order and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

It's great to hear traditional/ancient worship hymns in a modern music style. I'm not sure how to describe JoC's latest style (indie rock??) and some of the songs are probably so old, I've never even heard of them before. It's nice to hear them singing songs that openly glorify God.

I never knew how awesome and powerful the lyrics of traditional hymns are so well, they're filled with so much hope and faith.

"God will lift up your head/Leave to His sovereign way/To choose and command/Then shall we wandering on His way/Know how wise and how strong/Through waves and clouds and storm, He gently clears the way/Soon end in joy"

"I need thee every hour, most gracious Lord/No tender voice like Thine can peace afford/I need Thee every hour, stay Thou nearby/Tempations lose their power/I need Thee every hour, teach me Thy Will/And Thy rich promises in me fulfill"

"When sins and fears prevailing rise/and fainting hope almost expires/Jesus to Thee I lift my eyes/fixed on the everlasting Word/Are You not mine, My living Lord/Here let my faith unshaken dwell"

I find these lyrics very powerful and edifying! They beat most of the lyrics in contemporary Christian music, IMO. I definitely recommend this album!! Thanks and God bless, Jars of Clay!!

I love the old Hymns, they have some of the deepest lyrics you ever heard, I've heard a few songs from this abum and want to get it.
Tis No Fool to lose what he can not keep to gain what he can never lose.
What does it profit a man to gain the World yet lose his soul.
Choose Life that you Might live.

Also I'm not sure how -_-' but somehow I am the Master and Father of Spectro-King according to his signature ... but hey I'm up for having a minion ... so jump stupid ... I'll have him keeeeel you
 Evil child of Fantasy Dreamer and Dark Disturbed Grandchild of Cephas VII
On a quest to adopt Cephas
 WACKY BANANA!!! ROCKER!!! glomp of DOOM!!!
Ive noticed something interesting, when a place is really amazing people say it must be seen to believed ... but the most amazing place ever must be believed to be seen.
