You know what really sucks though...Beloved is disbanding. I know a few people who know Beloved (they are kind of big in the halfway underground) That is why I didn't post them earlier...Actually I think I did...

Really? One of the guitarists is playing for Dead Poetic? Neato...Every Time I Die is pretty good. I've only heard them live though. As I Lay Dying should be put here...Seen them live twice, for free once (friends with the newer guitarist Nick.)

nobody has mentioned Broomtree yet, so i'll throw them out there.
Collective Soul is pretty decent from what i've heard of them. but i guess they're 'big'.
BSS totally rocks! I love their stuff. Roper isn't as cool tho (as in the band, not the man himself) I dunno, i'll forever be more a fan of FIF.
Project86 is awesome too, so i'll have to check out Sup.

Awesome thread... quite enlightening. CAA is pretty sweet.

I went out shopping yesterday and I picked up Polarboy's second cd. at the bookstore where I work. (i think it's self-titled) Then I went to Disc Replay and found oh, so many, older bands and cds. I ended up getting Tony Vincent and Shine MK. I wanted to get World Wide Message Tribe, but I'll just hafta' go back.

I went back to the bookstore later that night and found Everybodyduck!!!

Ok, so actually I'm voting for Starfield.... I'm sure people have heard of them, but so did I and I just passed them off as another mediocre CCM project. And then I heard the song 'Outstretched Hands'. Good stuff! Specially if you like Jars of Clay or that kind of more laid-back music. But it's not all that soft either, it's an odd space in between. And no, I don't know what i'm talking about. But it's good! Check 'em out. :thumb:

Still Know How To Groove. That's the one. I actually got in on cassette, but if I ever want the cd, I know where to find it.

Hey I completely forgot to post Starfeild. They were played alot at the camp I worked at last summer...About a quarter of the songs we did at Primetime -chapel time- were by them. They were overplayed though...But their good after you don't hear them for a while. Yeah Emery, Staple And Anberlin are pretty popular here to -Colorado- Staple is one of my favorite bands...Not to much into Anberlin though...They have great music but for some strange reason most of their lyrics bother me...

As for bands that I like however no one on CAA knows or likes is Children of Bodom, Killswitch Engage, 36 Crazy Fists, The Agony Scene, Lamb of God, Nightwish, and Zao.

I wasn't here when you posted this, but I'm a huge fan of CoB and Nightwish. They both get heavy airplay on my radio station. I saw CoB when they were touring with Fear Factory and Lamb of God. Awesome concert. I also love Fear Factory (mmm..."Shock").

Bands most people I know have never heard of. Heh. There are a lot for me. But here's some. Mind you, many of these are big in their genres. But their genres are rather niche:

Theatre of Tragedy
Megaherz
2 Skinnee J's
Star One
Black Label Society
Les Negresses Vertes
Kompressor
Solitude Aeternus
And One
Astral Projection
Hammerfall
Shonen Knife
Symphony X
Gravedigger
Bolt Thrower
Headbangers United

I've heard of Black Label Society, and Shonen Knife... I also know of Olivia...Even though they're pretty big I'm gonna post As I Lay Dying cuz my friend Nick is one of their guitarists...His old bands Evyline and Nail Scarred are also pretty darn cool. Especially Nail Scarred. Another ok band that is relatively unheard of is Remedy...Not exactly my style but they're pretty cool guys. Anybody heard of Apocilyptica? They're good...And just cuz they're awesome I'm going to post Calibretto 13. If you like in your face lyrics and folk punk check it out! Also a band that nobody has mentioned yet is Arthur, a MxPx emo style sideproject band.

Yeah I was surprised to hear them on X2003...I was just listening to my CD, I'm Your Biggest Fan Volume 2...And it has some great stuff from smaller bands such as; Slow Coming Day, Next In Line, Buddy Ruckus (their song on the CD rox!) and others.
