My dad...

Postby Azier the Swordsman » Wed Oct 15, 2003 8:44 pm

Just a quick prayer request, my dad has a hernia (I'm not sure exactly where it's located, somewhere around the stomach area) and he is going to have surgery to remove it. I am unsure of the date, so I'll have to get back with you on that. Please pray that everything goes smoothly and the operation is a complete success. Arigato!!

Well, as a pastor, having close ties with doctors, knowing church members who have gone through this, being in my mid 40s, and having slept in a Holiday Inn last night, I can say this procedure is a very common one today. Naturally I will pray for him and your family as you face this. It's great the skills God has given to people to help our physical needs. I know you dad is in His hands, our loving great physician.

Hey, then he has the same retirement plan as I do. It's heavenly. ;)

Update: We have no idea when the surgery is going to be, because we don't have the money for it. Please pray that God will provide the money we need. Thanks for your prayers everyone!

I'll be praying for your family.^-^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I will wait for the update. I think your father is already in God's hand (looks at the long list of prayer pledges). Don't worry! :thumb:
