feeling horrible, and driving tomorrow

Postby soul alive » Fri Mar 11, 2005 9:18 am

i've come down with a cold - cough, mildly sore throat, and other crummy symptoms, and have been having constant headaches for the past few days, and my insomnia is back, so i'm very tired. so prayers that i start feeling better would be much appreciated. especially since i'm driving home for spring break tomorrow, and that's an 8+ hour trip. prayers that that goes well would also be appreciated.

and since it is the season, a quick prayer for everyone traveling for spring breaks and other occasions.

Is there anyone you could get a ride with? Or anyone who's heading that way who's ride with you?

Either way, I'll be praying for you. Take an anit-histamine before you go to bed and see if that doesn't help some of it.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

i'll be alone, no one is traveling remotely near where i live... literally in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming. but i'm going to go to bed a few hours early, and will have my friends beat me if they see me up late tonight. but the anti-histamine does sound like a good idea, thanks.

Aww, that is truly the pits that a cold had to hit you at the worst possible time. I'll definitely be praying for your safety on the way home and that the trip won't be too miserable (and that maybe you'll even be feeling better for it). Just take your time and don't push yourself too hard. And on the bright side, spring break is usually an awesome chance to catch up on sleep. God bless, and take care ^_^

Hope you feel better soon and that your trip will be a safe one. Hopefully when you get "home" you'll be able to sleep tight and catch up w/ your family.

Enjoy your spring break, I started mine today as well :P
